Following our last meeting & presentation on the History of Methodist Church in Coxhoe, we have put together an exhibition in St. Andrews Church Schoolroom.
It's coffee morning on Saturday, pop in if you are passing, buy a cuppa and take a look at the display.

Our next meeting, The Battle of Britain in North East England. Presented by Denis Fox, Military Historian & Landscape Artist.
Using the medium of art coupled with extensive research Denis will recount the events of the time.

A fascinating an insightful walk through of the history and development of the new County Record Office.

@TheStoryDurham Station Road East, an area known as Coxhoe Bridge Station, with the former railway station situated beneath the road bridge. The former Bridge Inn Hotel can be seen between the trees & Gamondsway West Farm on the Hillside. The mine ventilation shaft on the right.

@TheStoryDurham School Avenue to the right, gable end of Garden Terrace to the left. Majority of Garden Terrace was demolished in the 1960's to make way for the A1M Motorway. Modern day comparison to follow in near future.

@TheStoryDurham Collectively known as Cornforth Lane the photograph is taken outside of Coxhoe Primary School. The brick pillar of the original school wall is just visible on the right. No longer there the wall was demolished around 20 years ago.
