@elonmusk Right now Claude Code has what feels like a big advantage in our organization - their opus ( and Fable ) model, a windows install which will agentically connect to local or ssh to a dev Linux env.
Give me a reason to go with Grok and I'll pitch it. I'd love to not use Claude.
@justfuckingyoda Not exactly on topic, but...
Used to play short putts were good.. but I putt everything now. Putting the 2-3 footers "for real" has made the 5 footers go in more. So I say putt 'em all - maybe a shorter routine, but do it.
Gotta make it to the hole though.
@thomvlieshout For me it has just shifted.
500 MB html file - hey I created this in claude - let's get it on our app server.
Is there PII or client or our IP in the file? Umm, dunno.
Is it to brand? Umm, dunno.
So, no.
@7why__ydm Long story short - insulation installation in new homes. Fresno CA August 1991'ish.
12 hour first day. Boss says - see you tomorrow.
I reply, nope, not coming back.
$32 paycheck for that day.
@collinsworth55 I get 5 hours with my adult son most Saturday's. I've cancelled tee times when I'm just a single though too. It is a lot of time. Skiing too - but it always involves my son or close friends - a lot of work - but a great day.
@wahab_twts PostgreSQL - unless it's just document storage, then MongoDB.
And put a backup process that is inline with any SLA's you have with your users.
@daltonbrewer I mean, today was a cry day. But the smile days have been many recently ( not just TSLA in my portfolio ). As long as my base is bigger than the last correction, we'll be OK. Not that I think this is a correction - but a big one day hit.
Taxes sure make trading difficult.
@def_leppar20044 Kings and Queens.
They had a lot of radio played songs that might have been more popular, but right after thoseโฆ. Great tune.
Get your wings was #1 album. Seasons of Wither - Lord of your thighs.
So good.
@allomuddak I was laid off about 8 years ago. Tough to compare to anyone's current situation, but... I'm in a much better place now. I had the "total failure" thoughts too.
I'm glad I was laid off (it did not feel like it at the time) - hopefully you can find success in the "next thing".
@ronsterd89 '85, with a police officer in Wrangell Alaska - '78 Ford Fiesta. No cars on the street. Parallel parking was a thing you had to know. Not so much anymore.
@KevOnStage I loath printers. I have one now that says I can't scan because I'm low on color cartridge. I realize I paid like $60 for the thing, but don't gate stuff that are unrelated.
Gen X.
