@ardest1259 For a lot of religious rites / ceremonies etc, it is recommended to eat only veg ( no egg / poultry / fish / meat ). So the food is strictly separated as veg ( goot to eat ) or non veg ( which means it contains something that is not veg and not fit for eating )...Hope this helps
