Mostly my Twitter is for yelling into the void, but otherwise I'll probably be promoting @Geek_Errant - where my writing on tabletop and video Games/Comics/Film/TV can be found.
Some of it has been described as "Actually pretty good".

Last few weekends saw work on my Tanith heavy weapon teams for my Imperial Guard. Love that I can now field stubbers without proxying and it's really fun finding ways to make the rockets look portable with mini dioramas on the big bases.

Hobby project this weekend: pick an unpainted unit, get them done by Monday - chose the 122nd Cadian Kasrkin. Loved this scheme ever since I saw the Cityfight codex, it helped inspire my original guard regiment, so coming back to it was wonderful.

BFV movement *and* BFV Class Specialisation options - they're taking all the good parts from that game and bringing it forwards, so that's great to see!
Today's experiment, turning a Death Rider steed (which is more like a rat horse) into a regular horse by means of a real tail and some destrier hooves, to make an Imperial Militia Force Commander.
Been a while since I sculpted any hair textures!
#WarhammerCommunity#Nerdlings
I have to imagine the entire time this set was being sculpted, the designers were laughing at every complaint about 40k being too tacticool and not being grimdark enough.
Absolutely stunning work, especially the modernisation of the missionaries.

YIP YIP! The Avatar: The Last Airbender Omnibus Ultimate Edition Boxed Set has been revealed by @nerdist! The set will be available exclusively from @darkhorsedirect. More: https://t.co/TpBpyC3AUj
Interiors for the Arvus Lighter now good to go, just a few touch ups to get to as I work on the body panels tomorrow.
Had a lot of fun making this look as grimy and gross as possible, especially on a bunch of textures I don't work with usually.
#WarhammerCommunity#Nerdlings
The little pig/Arvus Lighter is perfect, and surprisingly buildable in sub assemblies for painting. Wouldn't change a thing about it. Especially love the rail the gun and gunner are mounted on for safety, huge evolution of the old valkyrie designs.
#WarhammerCommunity#Nerdlings
Second unit of Combat Engineers ready for their cloaks, really loving getting to play with troops who don't have lasguns, and these "Trench clubs" are the perfect excuse for straight silver wielding Tanith.
#WarhammerCommunity#Nerdlings
Need another two rough rider torsos to finish making the unit heresy Militia legal, but I utterly adore the ranging scope from the new artillery kit.
Fits the archeotech vibe of this force so well.

Last night's kitbash test using a bunch of leftover parts.
Field Ordnance arms + Krieg body and some Cadian bits = Steel Legion Officer
Little modifications like the helmet flattening really help make the whole effect look different.
#warhammercommunity#nerdlings
Kitbashing experiment this weekend was testing some Jakhals won in an eBay job lot. If you match the vest wearing bodies with GSC/Necromunda parts you get some Catachans at a non-gorilla scale.
Now just to add cloaks for the Tanith element!
#warhammercommunity#Nerdlings
This weekend's project (since the Krieg box delay) was finding a good mix of milliput/green stuff for cloak sculpting.
Think I got there with the engineers/scouts for the Tanith.
I do need to make less at once though, was drying fast by the end.

Skeleton Crew:
1. That's a fun Treasure Island riff.
2. Lucasfilm made a show about how staying in your cosy and safe 80's throwback capitalist utopia is a way to be secure but ultimately stunted and undeveloped as a people, even if trying something else is scary.
Real Subtle.
The third OW box looks like the background is bleeding through. However, the original image doesn't match, which means it's an opacity tweak. What it could match is a snippet of this Cathay art from TW3.
So Old World probably getting Cathay this year.

The Blood of Dawnwalker | Details
▪️New single player third-person fantasy action RPG
▪️Started development over 2 years ago in Unreal Engine 5, full gameplay reveal coming in Summer 2025
▪️Led by former Witcher 3 game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz and ex-Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz
▪️Focused on "narrative sandbox", no two playthroughs will be identical
▪️Takes place in 'Vale Sangora' in 14th century medieval Europe
▪️The setting has been ravaged by plague, famine and social disorder
▪️Inspired by Eastern European architecture and culture, Polish log houses, Ukrainian and Balkan clothing, 'Romanian defensive churches', and more
▪️The world has been watched by vampires in the shadows waiting to strike and make their move when humanity is at its lowest and to overthrow the feudal lords
▪️Day/night cycle plays a big role, wanted the world and villages and buildings to 'feel like a different place' after sunset
▪️You play as Coen, energetic, becomes a 'dawnwalker' (not human, not vampire, something in between), can traverse both worlds of humanity and creatures of the night
▪️You fight with swords and weapons by day, and can use vampire abilities in combat at night, explore the environment, etc
▪️You have 30 in-game days and 30 nights to save your family, wanted a sense of urgency. When you complete an objective/quest, time moves forward. But time doesn't pass in real world time, you can 'manage' how you use time as a resource
▪️You meet many characters throughout the game with their own goals and ambitions, which may make you friends or put you in opposition to them
▪️Blood Hunger: Gameplay mechanic where you need to feed throughout your playthrough
▪️If you talk to someone and have gone long without feeding first, you might lose control and eat them, even 'your best friend' in the game
▪️Vampire design: In this world, the vampire's teeth don't stop growing, so the older vampires have a lot of teeth. Aren't visible at first, can extend as their mouths open
▪️Vampires are led by Brencis -a super powerful old vampire that wants to change the world, twisted old religious beliefs and took advantage of social turmoil to turn himself into a sort of messianic figure
▪️The vampire leadership aren't black and white, but more gray, as they overthrew violent and corrupt feudal lords, but also kill people to eat, conduct blood masses at church, etc
▪️Brencis is a sort of 'active antagonist' that will react to your actions and decisions, will set edicts in the game that will become obstacles to the player like military checkpoints, etc

Engineers are bringing back memories of 3rd ed Veterans, so figured I'd spin some up for my Tanith Guard.
A good excuse for kitbashing a build that represents some scouts with slug throwers, plus Scout Zhukova leading. Now just need cloaks!

Very confused at the hyperbolic reactions to this from gaming execs and press at *corporate language in an investor statement* that's designed solely to stop shareholders from feeding Ubisoft to Private Equity Vultures.
The AC Twitter account has a plain language version for you.
