Retiring from Overwatch. its been a long journey but as im sure most players know my passion for the game isnt what it used to be and the dwindling support for APAC as a region was honestly the nail in the coffin for me. I wish the guys competing all the best
2. Support not a Healer mindset. Elaborating off of my previous reply, this one is a HARD one to break, as there are certain (false) expectations when going into a support role in a shooter. Overwatch dealt with this as well- "why the frick is my Lucio AFK inside my team? why is my Zenyatta spending more time cycling Harmony Orb than shooting?" Now apply this to all the damage, utility, and dueling potential in Marvel Rivals! Adam, Mantis, Loki, etc.- all have strong poking and even dueling potential, and finding windows (or straight up kicking down the door and angling yourself sometimes) to pressure is not only nice, but should be EXPECTED! My favorite was watching a pro scrimmage with a few key flankers banned, and this PRO Jeff was... hard flanking? Abusing the bubble self heal/speed and the burrow. You'd never see a low/mid rank Jeff do this, and if they did, they'd get flamed.
To be fair, the current sustain output of strategists in Marvel Rivals really shoots themselves in the foot with this one. You really shouldn't ALWAYS be healbotting with strategists, but certain strategists can... really do that just fine, and that's a real bummer, considering healbotting in Rivals doesn't have anything close to defensive utility or (legitimate) resource management to engage thought. It's not good heal design, and it rewards (what should be considered as) "bad" play.

Thanks all for the incredible Steam Next Fest playtest! Being one of the TOP-PLAYED DEMOS was nice, but 👀 some stats:
• Hundreds of thousands of new players played SUPERVIVE for the first time
• NEW players played at least 20 games on average!
• 67 MILLION minutes / 127 YEARS of SUPERVIVE were played in just 1 week!
• 13 million hunters were killed during this test
• 3.5 million vaults were attempted... and 70% of them were fails (lmao)
• s/o VITEK for slamming 93 hours of SUPERVIVE and Tharkum for playing a whopping 471 games this test!

Just watched a bunch of the OW cinematics again and... ugh I'm so angry. I can't believe we lost a story mode for such a perfect universe to corporate greed. The Overwatch universe and characters are just so special and the way we lost a PvE experience for money instead hurts.

0 nuanced feedback and clickbait style takes are frustrating to see, its getting old
All this discourse for the next season has just shown that Blizzard needs to rehire their lore historians. The storyline of Overwatch is falling apart, and if they don’t realize that the lore is why a lot of people play the game, they’re gonna lose a huge chunk of their players. Oh sorry, more players than they already have.
