Hey @ups, your website is broken and won't let me login with my Apple ID.
I log in, get to a "approve terms and service" page, and then get routed back out.
@object01 Maybe an LLM would be better if it was actually trained on the unreal codebase. Even still, in other situations where code is readily available on the open internet, it was doing the same stuff. At best, it was producing sub-junior level code.
@object01 Man, I tried a number of times with ChatGPT, and I found it nearly useless. Most of the time it was out of date or had straight up made something up.
Any result I got from it had to be reverified by hand. It was no better or worse than doing it myself the first time.
@object01 The one downside is that there are pitifully few online resources for this that I’ve found. I’ve ended up using a lot of tribal knowledge, direct investigation, and creating my own reference material.
@ludwinpeerye@ThosVarley Depending on the plant, seems unlikely. Grass is quite simple.
Now, maybe groves of trees? Networks of fungi?
It seems a pretty safe assumption that the lower bound of required complexity is pretty high.
Tangent Notes is a markdown-based note editor desktop app designed to help you write in the same connected way that you think ✍️ It's #madewithsvelte & Electron by @Cptn_ChillPill! - https://t.co/4VsKpfjEhF
@8bit_bun I’m glad you like Tangent!
Being able to embed notes is a common feature, but it’s one that I haven’t invested in yet due to the complexity of doing it well. Perhaps in the future.
What I’ve found to work well for me is using smaller notes and liking between them aggressively.
I want to thank @Cptn_ChillPill, a AAA Game Developer of @games_obsidian for joining to discuss:

@object01 I’m also much more partial to systems with gradations of success like Blades in the Dark. It lets bad stuff happen without being a stonewall to story progress or an utter disaster.
@object01 This is kind of a thing in D&D. It’s pretty standard to not state the DC of a check or the AC of a monster and instead try and get players thinking in character.
It’s not necessarily the easiest thing to translate to a video game though.
