the right WILL indeed try to roll all that back, which is why they're seeking to erase queer people from public life and attacking every black person or woman who gets a prominent job as "DEI". the immediate future is ugly. but they will not win.
...those things go deeper than the law. the law was often, tho not always, downstream from social changes brought on by activism, media visibility, huge efforts involving millions of people that changed the attitudes of tens of millions more.
what's coming will harm many, many people, but statements like this reduce the progress of the last half-century down to a bevy of laws. you cannot, and they will not, erase the normalization of inter-racial marriage, broad acceptance of the public existence of queer people...
