@kr62209@AlanBiggs1 Why on earth don’t professional football clubs listen to their own knowledgeable fans, especially when they know so much! I am at the end of my tether with the complete lack of engagement with the untapped expertise within the fanbase.
@bluebirdk7 It was also very clear there were no canoeists or safety boats deployed down the lake on the Monday unlike every subsequent ‘proper’ run later in the week. A cynic might conclude this was just a PR stunt & there was no intention of a wider run other than the pootle around.
@bluebirdk7 Heard Mondays debacle, hundreds waiting for hours, no comms, short splutter about at 1.30pm up near the pontoon, all down the lake massively disappointed, was geared around a VIP arriving at 1pm. Lots of great looking shots of K7 ‘back on the water’ for media. Disrespectful to us!
@bluebirdk7 I was told they were waiting for Gina. No idea if true but it certainly added emotion to the proceedings and supplemented media briefings showing K7 back up to speed and on Coniston again. Excellent PR if so, massive letdown for hundreds down the Lake.
@slbsn Excellent read - I wonder how much of their process has been tweaked and fine tuned using Chansiri and us as a case study? I also presume our new owners are absolutely compliant and perhaps have been test cases for much of this detail?
@prodnose Neill has completely wasted Barry Bannan. Millwall were so ordinary at Hillsborough we even deserved a draw. He’s a quarterback midfielder. Let him do what he does best and has been doing for so many years. Come back Bazza.
@robertshrimsley@adamboultonTABB The Greens are not worth the name anymore - Stalinist Fascists now taken over by omnicause zealots expounding naive student politics - What a choice we have between these and Slick Teflon Nige. It’s all a bit of a shitshow.
@WTIDPOD He’s a class act and would be especially in L1. Pity his injury record holds him back. I’d have given him a 1 year option. We don’t have his quality in the squad as it stands.
@wbaEli It’s always good to see ‘proper’ fans in the away end who get the situation and context - take note Derby, Birmingham and the inconsequential Bleats who thought they were playing a Normal Wednesday team. Good luck Baggies.
@Peepy8911@KillianB22 Bit of a pattern to your obsessive posts! Chill out, can never understand ‘fans’ who show so much interest in other clubs. Why not focus on your own team, you could still make the top six?
@nickdemarco_ There is no other word for it Chelsea CHEATED and they benefitted from that dishonesty. But the ‘punishment’ clearly does not fit their crime nor does it serve to deter others. It’s a JOKE!
@LukeHuddyHudson It’s clever play by Clarke and Shearer/Owen et al would say he’s allowed to go down. But don’t try to change what is obvious to any real football fan looking at it - clear dive leaving his foot trailing into the static defender - in other words cheating.
@StanCollymore So Chelsea actually CHEATED over 6 years. But don’t worry they or others won’t do that again now they’ve been punished so harshly. Meanwhile Wednesday face extinction due to mismanagement and incompetence - different League same game - BROKEN!
@SophyRidgeSky So Wednesday are punished for the sheer incompetence of the owner who was out of his depth - Chelsea on the other hand deliberately CHEATED. The whole structure is corrupt and seriously flawed in its present state.
@storchyowl@domhowson I fully understand how you and your colleagues are in this to make money (and why not) but don’t underestimate the emotional impact of becoming part of and making the Wednesday family succesful again. If you can do that it will be an experience like no other.
@henrywinter Balanced and fair but Wednesdays plight should be opening up a much larger debate about club ownership, management and especially finance. Look at the cheating/clever practices at the top of the pyramid and the rabid battle to hook onto the TV cash teat.
@MarkPriestley2@henrywinter Totally wrong - the suggestion that a whole fan base echoed the behaviour of a few. It’s like the Derby rivalry that’s suddenly sprung up from a few teenage chants. What football fan would ever rejoice in a club potentially disappearing? So petty.
@robstaton Ashley’s business model at Newcastle for his personal investment was to make interest free loans to the club only payable upon sale. Approx £100 million - He made £190 million on sale (his loans repaid and then profit). He won’t lose money on us. I’m in.
@davidrichards@AlanBiggs1 Higher doesn’t have to mean significantly so. We have a tried and tested football club owner with massive wealth against an unknown consortium. Ashley MAKES MONEY and to do that with us he will HAVE to leave us better than we are. It’s a NO BRAINER
