Recently finished up with some Clan Snow Raven models that I've been working on for games at Adepticon, plus my Wusun Omnifighter model. I love working on models with art from @Flyingdebrisguy because the lines are always so clear and the silhouettes are always top notch.
@MechFrog12 The price of failure is roughly the cost of leaving a model in a jar of LA's Totally Awesome overnight to strip it. Unless it's physically damaged, you can always strip a model and start over. Being too scared to try is worse than messing up and starting over.
For a limited time, pick up the digital Sky Chaser Pathfinder Mk I pilotable combat robot for 25% off. This is the first of my 28mm scale line of Mechs coming through Hardware Studios. #GammaWolves#Battletech#Mecha#Gundam#Titanfall

Really pushing myself to make original #Mecha#3dmodeling in #Blender! Inspired by near-future sci-fi like #Titanfall and artists like @Flyingdebrisguy and @emersontung. Usually I'll do a easy pose and call it a day, but next I'll be rigging this guy before printing and painting.
The Omen. 85 Tons of ugly, Snow Raven pew pew. I took some liberties with the TRO art to ditch some of the elements that were less current BT design language. This is for my own use only.
Homing in on the Omen as my current fan model project to add to my #BattleTech#AlphaStrike Raven Alliance armies. I decided to deviate from the killer TRO art for detailing some of the weapons to help it not stand out quite as much from the current plastic designs.
On a BT fan-modeling kick. I took a whack at a mech who's TRO art really hooked me as a kid: the Blood Kite.
I am excited to print and paint one soon.
Since I can't help myself, I'm also tackling the Omen, Lupus, and Hellfire. None of these are official or will be available.
@Chris_C_Lowrey @JonathanJagmin @camospecs The texture associated with drybrushing can be mitigated by using a textured surface instead of a paper/shop towel that wicks the moisture away from the brush. A dream of mine is painting a CSO-level mini using primarily dry-brushing techniques to show what can be done with it.
@JonathanJagmin @camospecs Finally, try and use a textured surface rather than a paper towel to wipe your paints off for drybrushing. The paper towel saps some moisture out of the paints on the brush and creates that grainy texture that's commonly associated with drybrushing.
@JonathanJagmin @camospecs 2/2 drybrush over that a white gray then drybrush the upward facing panels with white or a super closer-to-white gray. Artis Opus does a great breakdown of how to do that in this video. https://t.co/L3vHEIby3m
These warriors will bring wrath down around your ears in the name of the Celestial Throne. I'm starting an Escalation League locally to get people playing more Alpha Strike and my starting Death Commandos force is as pictures + 2 Zukhovs #battletech#battletechpaintingandcustoms
