Two years ago, the DRC's logging industry lost 90% of its potential revenues due to tax avoidance and other illegal financial arrangements. The Treasury received only 10% of the dues mandated by Congolese law. The same fiscal illegality is also rampant in the mining sector.

Venezuela has 303 billion barrels of proven oil reserves. The largest on Earth, more than Saudi Arabia and 20% of the entire world's oil.

Venezuela was actively selling that oil in Chinese yuan. Not dollars. In 2018, Venezuela announced it would "free itself from the dollar."

Amid an ongoing legal dispute regarding the share of revenue owed to the West African state - Mali has seized 3 Metric Tonnes of Gold from Canadian Mining Company Barrick Gold. The gold, is valued at approximately $180 million to $245 million.

In a similar bid to increase national revenue share, Burkina Faso, and Niger, have also been re-negotiating terms with foreign mining companies in their respective territories

As if the black population had it any better before it became the union of South Africa? Actually, the mere fact that you purposively chose to argue semantics with me, rather than the socio-economic conditions of blacks in the country, for millenia, says a lot.

You also mistaken blacks fighting in colonial wars for agency - it's a straw man argument. They were just pawns, the same way millions of African Americans fought for "liberty and freedom" in WWII, but went back home to Jim Crow laws!
