When I went down to the woods today, I was in for a big surprise...well, not really as it is that time of year again for #foraging...wild garlic!
The young nettle shoots looked good too - alas no rubber gloves! Another day, another #forage π
Feb challenge - increase creative upcycling results...old magazines = bowl, leftover wool stash = knitted dog coats for #MTAR + earwarmer/headband for running (for me), & fabric scraps from mask-making = pretty tin-can storage. Don't think the March challenge will be as much fun
November challenge - fill advent calendar with goodies for best friend β
December challenge - knit cardigan for Christmas present in 20 days β
January challenge - spend no money (except on essentials - food & fuel) β
February challenge - increase creative re-use, up-cycling...
With all my books currently in storage, those were quite literally all I could rustle up for the challenge. Relying mostly atm on my Kindle library so here are my e-book choices (the 6th one squeezed on being On the origin of species)
Great for the local community, the environment (especially the hedgehogs), & also fabulous for my own health & well-being - sunshine, a sense of satisfaction, engagement & a workout to boot (the bag was heavy by the end of it) - A fantastic way to spend ones lunch hour!
Staff and students have been busy cleaning the streets in and around our Llandaff campus today. We do this regularly as part of our commitment to our local community.
Huge thanks to @Keep_Wales_Tidy for supplying the kit π
βΉοΈWe collected 18 bags of rubbish!
It's #GOGreen week at Cardiff Met. I will be tweeting from @MetLearnNews so tune in there for all the goings on and pop over to CSM to say hi π (& maybe swap a book)!
Twas my last Thursday (this term) #cataloguing in Tech. Services and what a book to finish on. #beautiful
I love botanical illustration/art, but I love the holidays even more. See you in January for more cataloguing fun ππ
Twas my first time #cataloguing#ArtistsBooks in Special Collections this term since a short stint in Howard Gardens many years ago, & these were my favourites of all...the first because they mention Palaeolithic cave art, the second for the sheer simplicity of it.
It was peak viewing time of the Geminids 15/16th and I was thwarted each evening...by snowfall in Mid Wales, & light pollution in South Wales π had one last chance last night & it was cloudy!!!!
