Watching Kadyn Proctor (#74 ALA) vs. Indiana
• (23 sec clip) - This is textbook to me, he knows he has a wide rusher and determines he’s gonna go angle-to-vertical in his set. Great flexion in his drive knee, stays square, hand placement is excellent. Great stuff.
• (27 sec clip) - This is not so great, he is 1-on-1 with a 5-technique, the slide is away from him and he completely over sets giving up the inside, the set is slow, hands are late, the defender gets the first touch and beats him on an hesi-cross chop to get a pressure on Ty Simpson.
As someone who just loves sports and is so blessed to get to do this work, its so cool to see big time folks tweeting/retweeting answers to my questions
It isn't just Myles Garrett that teams are looking out for. https://t.co/6eNLXksQpv's Ryan Smith ranked Alex Wright 18th among the NFL's best EDGE defenders.
"Wright missed most of the 2024 season due to a torn triceps but broke out in his fourth season this year on a talented Browns defense. His 73.4 PFF run-defense grade ranked 16th among 118 qualifying EDGE defenders, and his 5.5 sacks were a career-high."
