Committee meetings are tonight at 5:30 p.m. and the Board Meeting is Monday, April 8th at 6:30 p.m. Both meetings are in the Legislative Chambers on the 6th floor of the County Office Building at 22 Market Street in Poughkeepsie. Public comment can be made at both meetings.
This is a complete waste of our taxpayersβ dollars for our Dutchess GOP Legislators to even consider throwing $100,000 or more at a losing argument.

Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his fight for freedom and justice. His message and the continuation of his work is so important today, as the work is far from done.
Hoping everyone had a wonderful start to the new year!
We ate las doce uvas de la suerte (the twelve grapes of luck) with hopes of a very happy, heathy, and prosperous new year for everyone. Even the dogs were excited to welcome in 2024!
ππ Happy New Year! ππ
- Significant salary increases for elected officials
- Increase in sales tax
- Changes to County Bus routes with limited follow-up information provided thus far

Tonight at 5:30 pm at the County Office Building (22 Market Street, 6th floor, Poughkeepsie, NY) are our committee meetings.
Then at 7 pm is a special board meeting that includes a public hearing for the 2024 County Budget.
A budget that has some major concerns:
(and our many selfies too π). However, there is a lot of work to do in our State and Comptroller Tom DiNapoli could not have picked a better Deputy to serve our great State of New York and its 20 million residents!
πππ Congratulations Robin! πππ
Many congratulations to my dear friend and colleague Robin Lois as she leaves her position as our esteemed Dutchess County Comptroller to become our New York State Deputy Comptroller for of Local Government and School Accountability!
I will very much miss working with you β¦
