@trav2117 @clonesrising Former players hate ISU? You mean Purdy...who still comes back for visits? Haliburton, who still attends games and donates to NIL. Maybe you mean George Niang, who visits Ames anytime he can. Or maybe you mean Ben Bruns, Seneca Wallace, Sage Rosenfels. ๐คก comment
@ZmillaTLK_@CoachBobbit Its going to take a deep checkbook more than likely. Same kid that is visiting Indiana, correct? You know they are going to pay...
@bartstarrfan@CycloneCardinal I said the exact same thing...MANY of these guys have played their last collegiate down and many of them are being given bad info by agents you deserve more playing time, more NIL money, more exposure. Thats all fine, but most are giving up a roster spot to not find a new one.
Just because you enter the transfer portal does not mean you are automatically getting picked up some place else. Some of you guys should really think before you go giving up a scholarship and NIL. Especially guys with less than 2 years eligibility or coming off injury. #BELOYAL
@IowaDOP You guys couldn't score 70 points with Tom Brady at quarterback. Now if you come with the "we will shut you out and kick 6 field goals," thats believable.
@NoelJaylin13 I guess my biggest question here is when did a free college education not become good enough? Now that the fans are the ones "writing the checks" so to speak, athletes cant be upset with the fans that are "paying them."
Wish I could tell all these kids in the portal that when theyโre 40 all theyโll have left is the memories with their teammates and a place to go back to in the fall. #CycloneFamily
@jeremiah1cooper Unfortunately when you all became paid athletes, you work for the fans and the university...you dont get to have it both ways. Dislike the fans opinions...dont take NIL...pretty simple really.
@cyclonefanatic Doesn't wanna compete with Raynor, who will be in Ames next week. I dont blame him...I wouldnt wanna compete with a 9k yard uy either. Go be great at Nebraska.
I will take Moberly, Overby and Konrardy to start. All of the rest are sellouts...enough with the "Always A Cyclone." You are only a Cyclone if you finish your career in Ames.
@benbruns Especially when the letters are to gain attention from other schools. It has nothing to do with wanting to say good bye to coaches, teammates and fans.
