It was great seeing & hearing about the work thats taken place to support the Canal & River Trust to improve the Canal & make it more accessible to the community here in Nottingham. There may be some potential opportunities to collaborate, & I'm excited to explore this further.
Over the past few months, the Community Engagement, Education and Partnerships team have been working closely with secondary schools supporting their careers fairs. We've met lots of young people who have shown lots of interest in potentially joining @nottsfire in the future
I attended Redhill Academy yesterday for their careers fair. I spoke with hundreds of young people from year 9 up to upper 6th form in relation what It's like to work for @nottsfire & the range of roles we have available to those wanting to make a difference within the community
Today, on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, our @Reavill_Matt opens up our inaugural Disability Matters Network Event.

I'm at the IQ Exchange building this morning giving out fire safety advice. This is the final visit I have carried out at Nottingmham IQ student accommodations this month. I also visited Newland House & Newton House #CreatingSaferCommunities
This afternoon, I attended the Nottingham mencap opening event for their new building. Seeing the new facilities & hearing more about the fantastic work they are doing was amazing. It excited me to hear about the potential opportunities @NFRS_Prevention has to work with them
Despite the snow, I made it to South Nottinghamshire Academy to take part in the year 7 emergency response day. I'm delivering input on fire safety in the home & careers available within @nottsfire The young people have been very engaged so far & are asking loads of questions
I'm here at Bulwell Riverside Medical Centre today as part of a pension credit event. I've already had a chat with some local residents regarding #FireSafey in the home & taken a referral for a Safe & Well Visit #CreatingSaferCommunities
Mental Health is a subject that is extremely close to my heart, to be one of the Vice Chairs of our Healthy Minds Network is something I am very proud of. This morning, I attended our event at Mansfield FS & it was great to see so many staff members from across our organisation
The Service's mental health network has hosted two coffee mornings today, with an aim to get our staff talking as part of World Mental Health Day.
The sessions were held at Mansfield Fire Station and at our Joint Headquarters ☕
Our @NFRS_Prevention Community & Engagement team are attending multiple @NottmTrentUni student events this week across various locations providing Fire, Road & Water safety advice using our beer pong style quiz game (minus the alcohol). Lots of important conversations took place

Our Community Engagement & Education Team have attended two student events this week providing Fire, Road & Water Safety advice to 1st year students living across multiple shared accommodations in the City. We were joined by fire crews from Highfields Fire Station #OneTeam
During the last two weeks, the Community Engagement & Education Team delivered the County South & City Safety Zone at Holme Pierrepont. We engaged with just under 1300 young people from 26 primary schools. We also managed to locate an adventurous dog & reunite it with its owner

Yesterday at @DeltaCLW I took part in a Yr 10 Careers Day alongside partners. The students in attendance were very engaged throughout & asked lots of great questions about what it's like to work for @nottsfire & how they could join our organisation across many different roles.
We had a great morning delivering safety workshops to the young people taking part in @PLCommunities Primary Stars tournament. All participants were very engaged & took away a lot of top safety tips. There was lots of great football on show. Thanks @NCFCFoundation for the invite.
It was our pleasure to host a @PLCommunities Primary Stars tournament today, inviting local schools to come and spend a day playing football and engaging in different workshops.
