⏪ Copland Collective have invited all Rangers supporters to show their support for Retro Shirt Day at the upcoming William Hill Scottish Premiership fixture against Motherwell on Sunday, 26 April by wearing their favourite Rangers shirt from years gone by.

💙 This annual event takes place in memory of the club’s legendary kitman, Jimmy Bell.

🫶 A bucket collection will take place on the stadium footprint prior to kick-off, raising funds for the Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation. Selected by the Bell family. The foundation supports cancer-related organisations across Glasgow and the West, with a particular focus on services supporting young people impacted by cancer.

🎟️ A raffle will also be held in the Fan Zone at Edmiston House ahead of the match, offering supporters the chance to win a signed retro replica shirt, with all proceeds going to the Emmie Smillie Charity Foundation.

Rangers Football Club is proud to support this initiative and encourages all supporters to take part and donate where possible.

Few seasons finish with first versus second on the final day, a de facto cup final to decide the league. That scenario played out in May 1991 at Ibrox, as Rangers faced Aberdeen. Aberdeen needed a result to take the title; Rangers could claim it with a win.

Wearing their iconic royal blue Admiral kit, Rangers did just that, producing a commanding 2-0 victory to secure a third consecutive league crown during one of the most dominant periods in Scottish football history. The result summed up the season: a side capable of grinding out results while delivering flashes of genuine attacking flair.

In November of 1989, The Stone Roses released the titanic double A-Side single, Fools Gold/What The World Is Waiting For. Two magnificent songs, each one a snapshot of the moment, but also a glimpse into the future.

For if the music of The Stone Roses is a set of sonic scales, the rhythm and Funk balanced with melody and Jangle, then this schizophrenic single sees the weight shift with each side, as the dual forces of the band take turns grasping the creative reigns.

Crucially though, there’s no ego at play here, no musical coup d'état being staged. They’re a brotherhood, a gang of dreamers gladly travelling the long road, a sharp contrast to Second Coming, an album that feels like the sonic scales crashing down, and the good times ending.
