FILMD has been named in Entrepreneur UK’s UK 100 Startups to Watch in 2026.
A massive thank you to our community, partners and everyone backing what we’re building.
Conversion rate, CAC, LTV, churn, user experience, marketing alignment with brand and delivery; the complexities of a SaaS startup seem almost endless.
Today though was a good day.
Some huge decisions made that continue to make sure FILMD is a commercially sustainable and growing company without negotiating on FILMD’s ethics - to the be the home of filmmaking.
UK film + high-end TV production spend hit £6.8bn in 2025. That’s a serious amount of jobs and momentum. Cinemas still aren’t fully back, but the production engine in the UK is clearly alive. BFI stats: https://t.co/GrhtgS18oW
Blast from the past right now. I’m working with an animator on a promotional video for FILMD that can be played at the Manchester Film Festival (FILMD are a main sponsor) and I love this work lol. When I started building web applications, marketing videos and materials were a natural progression for my small agency and I did a lot of work over the years with Final Draft, helping with their launches of their latest software update, by creating animated videos and it was very cool. Feels like creating mini films lol
@filmdco
We recently launched following and followers on FILMD - similar to X has here, and we've pushed a hotfix for it. The FILMD Followers and Following lists now load consistently for larger accounts on iOS and web (as larger follower counts were crashing the list load).
@UltraLinx I’ve tried so many chairs and within days knew they were not for me. Found that the high-backed Ikea chair was the one for me. Replaced it every few yrs with the same one for like 8 years now. Sat at a desk using a dining chair for a day the other day and woke up broken lol
Spoke with @TechRoundUK about why we’re building FILMD as the home of filmmaking - one place where cast, crew and productions can connect, get hired and run their work from script to screen.

🎬 Big News Alert! 🎬
After an intense period of development, we’re excited to announce that the upcoming launch of our platform is just a few weeks away! 🚀✨
Get ready for an abundance of new features, a new iPhone and Android app, and some stellar design.
We’ve listened to feedback from our amazing Beta members and built a platform we’re incredibly proud of, with more exciting developments on the horizon.
We witness daily the real struggles in our industry – declining participation, scarce job opportunities (including most of them behind paywalls), and barriers that favour who you know and where you're from, over what you know and what you have to contribute.
We’re here to change that.
At FILMD, we believe in democratising access to the film industry, making it easier for actors and filmmakers to connect, create, and collaborate.
And that's why our FILMD Connect plan is FREE for everyone, because we believe there should never be a tax on hope.
We want to level the playing field and build the best platform and community for creatives nationwide.
We’re a small team with big ambitions, and we’ve got the scars to prove it... So join us on this journey to make the film and TV industry a better place.
Check us out at https://t.co/PKuYFNn5eF, sign up for Early Access, and spread the word. And don’t hesitate to reach out if you want to chat! 🎥 🙌
