Yup - I have long argued this. We each have differing views on transgenderism. Whilst I regard it as a psychological impairment, that demands consultation prior to 'proceeding', I also support individual liberty and agency.
If a person truly wishes to mash their nads, I don't believe society can or should prevent them. However:
* Surgery must not be on the taxpayer dime. If you truly want to go down this path - you pay out of your pocket.
* Surgical practitioners should be regulated and monitored. Outcomes and impacts should be observed
* Taxpayers must be indemnified from civil litigation. Under no circumstances must we be exposed to damages because someone has buyer's regret.
Gender reassignment is the surgical equivalent of getting inked up during an Emo phase - there's a good chance you'll soon regret it.
If the monitoring program shows a statistically significant trend towards further harm towards self or others, the practice would need to be prohibited or, at a minimum, subjects would need to be subject to additional monitoring (despite their likely protestations this would be invasive)
@KeenyDhk Oh no you got me. Because I am descended from migrants I should have no say on migration policy.
So who get to decide who cones and how many?
They knew. The bastards knew. They let an Elder continue to rape his 11yo daughter and did nothing for 'cultural sensitivity' concerns.
That's not 'culturally sensitive'. It's state-sanctioned rape.
I'm incensed. And you should be, too.
