@cbcreative@arrroberts Food? Oh how quaint. I only consume sachets of Ambrosi-all – six per day. Each with a scientifically-derived blend of energy, macronutrients, vitamins and minerals, without indulgent extras like "texture" or "flavour".
Enjoyable? No, no, it's far better than that. It's optimal.
@cbcreative@StephT2000 It was unbearably hot. He'd expected it would be.
"You know my story?" he asked the darkness.
"Of course," the darkness replied. "Welcome to Hell".
He looked down at the body – his body – still holding the gun.
"Buddy, I've never been anywhere else".

@MooseAllain Sei what you want, but when the weather's Grey and I'm feeling Blue I do a Killer cover of Oasis's Wand Narwhal at karaoke. Unless I've Beaked too soon, then they never Pygmy.

@JimMFelton I recently won my first ever hold-in-your-hands writing award for a Halloween short story I wrote.
The award's a crystal ball, which is oddly fitting.

@WritingMagazine@JuliaChurchill When it says 'unpublished' – does that mean specifically published in book form, or should it never have appeared anywhere in any form (e.g. blog post)?
@WritingMagazine got a (maybe silly) question about the Children's Book Prize 2022: Picture Book
It says entries should be "unpublished". Does that mean it shouldn't have been published as an actual book previously, or shouldn't have appeared in any form (e.g. a blog post)?
@OC Have you ever come across Dear Mr. Kershaw?
A collection of comical letters to pop stars pointing out their lyrical pitfalls, and the actual responses from the artists: https://t.co/nE288bsN6J
@rhiannonlucyc (For what it's worth, when my daughter was born 20 years later I had zero memory of the plot of that game, so I wrote her a story instead😅): https://t.co/BxSpk6kh6J
@rhiannonlucyc I think I've always known?
Like, I have a vivid memory of playing a computer game as a kid and thinking 'I need to remember this – it'll make an *excellent* bedtime story someday'.
It feels like everything – life plans, career etc – were all in service of that real dream
@OhLookBirdies You should definitely feel proud for giving it a go
Have you come across Sian Meades-Williams' Freelance Writing Jobs newsletter? Offers lots of great ways to dip your toe into the world of writing more: https://t.co/FGVkgc19fm
Tech enthusiasts: My entire house is smart.
Tech workers: The only piece of technology in my house is a printer and I keep a gun next to it so I can shoot it if it makes a noise I don't recognize.
@Booktrust I wrote my own version of the story a few years back and one of the moments of purest joy in my life was reading it to my daughter on her first Christmas Eve.
