@LARecovery@JonahDispatch “Well, things are different now” has long been the casus belli for the crowd seeking to be rid of the things they just don’t like.
@janecoaston The writings of a person who truly believes himself to be an intellectual, but only displays to others that he doesn’t know what he doesn’t know.

@chicagobars@ShankenNews This is purely anecdotal but I know of one person who absolutely couldn’t stand tequila before Covid and, after all the taste/smell resets, prefers tequila over other liquors now. I wonder if this is actually a feature.
@Mr_Lincoln Not enough gets mentioned about Meade. He had a fascinating career and that’s even if you EXCLUDE 1863-65, which is usually the part most people have heard about.
@janecoaston Wait, what? As a society, we should all be rooting for a ham-fisted attempt to strip citizenship (?!?!?) here just for comedic value. It’s the complete opposite of irresistible force meets immovable object. Every single person in this scenario has a chance to be this guy:
@WindyCityWxMan Oh, I’m a hack that knows people with boats. But we had some well seasoned folks on board today. Really REALLY hard day for people without experience. Super easy to get tricked into thinking it was a simple summer day on the water. It wasn’t. As some people learned.
@blessyouboys What an absurd feeling to see that stat line and think: huh, that was kinda crap tonight…and then to think about how many teams would kill for that kind of performance on the regular.
