There is no media member, journalist or broadcaster who has been willing to engage fans on here for the past 15+ years as much as I have. Countless unpaid time answering questions podcasts and being as forthcoming as possible to simply enlighten the fan base. For most of the real ones, I think they still appreciate what I do. If not, ✌🏼.
Luis - Jim Leyland who is widely considered a great Manager, is in the Hall of Fame with a record (wins and losses as you suggested) barely above .500. You can move the goalposts in any direction you want but the reality is great players make great Managers. Every now and then there is a Leyland, Cox, Francona, Cash etc but in the end it makes very little difference whatsoever. 🤘🏼
Amongst all the Marlins big league moves recently comes a significant minor league note. Top 100 prospect SP Karson Milbrandt has been elevated to AAA Jacksonville. He has been fantastic in AA (1.06 ERA) and is one step closer to Miami.
@luisakalefty@marlins_slider@kevin_barral The Manager isn’t absolved at all. Blaming him for the majority of the losses however is dumb. It’s literally what every single fan base does on here after losses. It’s the equivalent of watering plants with Brawno because Brawno has electrolytes.
@luisakalefty@marlins_slider@kevin_barral When they lose it’s his fault but when they win (tonight) he gets no credit - yet it was his call to PH Hernandez who tied the game w a HR. Same as in TB 2 weeks ago. No business winning that game either. We can play this idiotic game all season. Actually, you can.
@JuanAlviz14 Juan to be completely transparent this weekend I was in Ft. Myers watching my Son play in a tournament. Took the weekend almost exclusively off. Hit me up this coming weekend and I will have some idea on the direction.
@CaptainBarkov@marlins_slider@kevin_barral I am going to end with this. These exact same things happened in 2022 with Donnie and he is now the interim savior in Philadelphia. Human beings. 50/50 decisions. Luck. Sports. Truth will set you free. Have a great day.
They were 12 games under through 60 games last season. Maybe if they had some HR/slugging they would not have to work the margins but they do not and thus those margins are being pressed further. That’s how I see it. They are 28th in MLB in HR and the 29th place team (BOS) has played 2 less games.
Manager is forward facing. Talks every day to media multiple times per day. Has to manage 26 humans at all times playing sports. Manage multiple staffers. Work with FO on transactions and such. Background work is hours more than the game itself. It ain’t just in game. Not even close. It’s tough but only 30 exist in the world.
@marlins_slider@kevin_barral His name is McCullough and no. The true difference with any big league Manager is probably +-2 or so games and I don’t see anything different here. I see the negativity but laugh at the stupidity of it all. It is the lowest form of baseball intelligence bashing a MLB manager.
