10 years ago today I went out on an attachment with 2 Surrey officers. It was go-live day for our mobile policing solution, #Pronto. It’s certainly been an exciting and rewarding journey. #decadeofdigital

@DerbysMobile @DerWestResponse @BurtleGurtle @TheScottBlair @DerbysSupt_Ops @NoSuchWordasNo @DazCook @PolisThoughts @SkeggySpec @ryanc75 Neil, well done for doing such a brilliant job on the Derbyshire Mobile Data project. We make the software, but it can never be a success without people like you to actually drive things forward within the force. You will be missed and I wish you the very best in your next post.
@DerbysMobile @policescotland@DazCook@TheScottBlair@MotSolsEMEA @NoSuchWordasNo Disaster - I was sitting on the same train on my way to Sheffield! I've changed at Wigan and going via Manchester. If I'd seen your tweet earlier I could've had 2 hours of quality time with @DerbysMobile ! 😁 Safe trip home!
@DerbysMobile @policescotland@DazCook@TheScottBlair@MotSolsEMEA @NoSuchWordasNo Neil, I was supposed to be on that train too. Nightmare! Are you by any chance on the West Coast train to Wigan instead?
@WYP_PICKERING @WYP_TrafficDave @WYP_DigitalPol I have forwarded this to our dev team who work on Pronto WYP to comment.
The aim here was to tidy up data quality and prevent duplicate addresses in RMS.
@WYP_PICKERING @WYP_TrafficDave @WYP_DigitalPol If you 'Use In' from the Gazetteer to a form, when Pronto sends that completed form to the RMS, Pronto will automatically work out if that address already exists in RMS and, if so, will automatically link to it. If not, it will create a new RMS address from Gazetteer.
@NoSuchWordasNo @NatalieJBenton@atherton_rich I agree about the need for rich speech based solutions. I'd like to start looking at bringing our ViQi Virtual Partner technology to the UK and integrate it with Pronto to help with this.

@west_response Very pleased to read that Pronto is being well received and helping make the job easier. Motorola is looking forward to expanding the Pronto capabilities delivered to the Police Scotland officers even further over the coming year.
