@RossFeinstein@SouthwestAir In healthcare, we do extensive scenario planning to foresee crises- even very unlikely ones. If Southwest had done so, they would have found system weaknesses (antiquated crew-scheduling, absence of interline agreements) that, if addressed, would have minimized this crisis.
Not to mention that much of the content presented at these conferences is nearly identical to what was presented 5, 10, 15 years ago. Time to stop simply voicing over old concepts about value, service and quality, and time to start executing on them.
Seems like there’s a healthcare conference / event every week that pull from the same 50-100 speakers.
No offense (seriously), but how is this productive for our industry as a whole?
Thrilled to be part of the #compassionateleadership movement with my friend @DonatoTramuto! This topic is very personal to me and I'm honored to be among the leaders interviewed for this book. https://t.co/TzoSpSCVal
@healthcareandy True innovations that have been created haven’t been broadly spread and adopted. Does healthcare have an innovation problem or an imitation problem?
"We’ll achieve value through wellness, prevention, and reduction of cost, not through hype! In the future, less will be more." @CraigSamitt shares this wisdom with attendees during his #AC22 keynote.
.@RebeccaCoelius nails it:
There needs to be a lot more innovation when it comes to the clinical model. Lots of copy/pastes from Brick & mortar settings + chat and video. This won't compete meaningfully with healthcare delivery systems w/ existing brands and local footprints.
It’s 2001. Apple has a genius idea. 1000 songs in your pocket. There’s just one problem. The average person listens to songs 2.7 times per year. The iPod, iPhone, Apple Music, Spotify. Not enough use cases to disrupt the local CD shop. That’s the digital healthcare dilemma.
A hospital CEO that claims to be an advocate for the underserved yet prioritizes "VIP" admissions over the "regular folk" is so hypocritical and perpetuates systemic racism. Any provider complicit with VIP admissions is complicit with systemic racism.
@AlyssaJoyJaffee Thanks for the reminder @AlyssaJoyJaffee. Wouldn't it be novel if the healthcare industry used digital innovation to improve accessibility, service experience, quality outcomes and affordability rather than just automating or virtualizing the status quo of care delivery?
Reminder that consumers increasingly want healthcare communication to mimic the same way that they communicate with friends and family: 79% of people would prefer a text letting them know that a doctor is ready to see them instead of waiting in a virtual waiting room.
Meet Advisory Board member @CraigSamitt, the CEO and Founder of ITO Advisors. Take a look at our brief interview with Craig as he discusses what leaders looking to develop themselves can do to make an impact on the #healthcare industry.

In his #AC22 presentation, keynote @CraigSamitt will share his view of future care delivery models, an overview of organizations most aggressively pursuing a reinvented future, and his thoughts on how health systems should evolve to remain in the lead. https://t.co/9EKkSnV6JN
For those who have had a sneak peek under the curtain of healthcare working from within for 10+ years, what are the brain hacks you use to stay positive and believe that we’ll create something elegant and sustainable? What are the little glimmers of hope?
@jayparkinson To date, there’s been no motivation for the traditional healthcare players to materially improve. And innovators didn’t pose a threat. That’s changing. @CVSHealth, @Walmart, @Walgreens and a throng of startups will drive incumbents to step up their game or get out of the way
