Daily Analysis 🏇

Gressington (Pictured) produced a highly creditable performance, particularly given the interference he encountered in the early stages. He was briefly outpaced but made good headway thereafter, staying on strongly up the hill and running all the way to the line. A performance that reads better than the bare result, and he looked fantastic in the summer sun.
Finished: 8th of 14

Battenberg Belle was disadvantaged by an awkward start, conceding early position and allowing the leader first run. She responded admirably to finish 2nd of 6, but was unable to close the gap — a cleaner break would likely have seen her much closer.

Both horses performed with credit. Another second-place finish brings us to 21 for the year. It is only a matter of time before we are back in that winners enclosure!
