I'm taking a social media break to focus on my life in the real world. I feel like most of my goals as a nuclear advocate on this forum have been achieved here in Ontario. For those that need to reach me, I can be contacted via email.
Ontario is a nuclear energy superpower. Our plan to protect Ontario is building the first small modular reactors in the G7 and the first large-scale nuclear facilities in decades, creating 150,000 new jobs and adding hundreds of billions to our economy.
Canada wants to defend its sovereignty against the United States. A crucial first step is to defend its integrity against those who'd carve the country's territory up into quasi-independent sub-nations. My latest in @TheAtlantic https://t.co/m7tVtXbe5S
The Graham-Blumenthal bill to enact secondary sanctions on Russia has 87 cosponsors in the Senate. Senators from all parts of the political spectrum believe it’s necessary to get to peace. It will take about a month after its enacted for Putin to begin to feel the cost.
Pass it.

This is the canard many chain restaurant lobbyists spread - "Canadian kids don't want to do <insert job here>"
In reality some chain restaurants don't want to pay what the prevailing market wage would be if there wasn't an endless supply of indentured foreign labour, or train.
The admin put pressure on both Israel and Hamas in order to secure an agreement
The U.S. is seizing Venezuelan oil tankers in addition to the military buildup
However, the U.S. has not enacted secondary sanctions on Russia to apply enough pressure
Pressure works. Apply it.
Nothing says the peace and joy of the Christmas season quite like taking over a major shopping mall and calling for violent attacks on Jews.
This is Toronto now.
The tone is set at the top with the mayor and police chief.
Great piece by @howardanglin in the @TheHubCanada.
Don Cherry "is the living refutation of the idea that to be Canadian means having a negative identity, based self-consciously on not being something else... (He) showed you can be proudly, defiantly, and unmistakably Canadian while rejecting the hand-wringing of Official Canada and their endless studies and symposia about what it means to be Canadian."

Here we go again. Another Canadian judge bending the rules, another criminal spared real consequences, and another group of victims left behind, wondering how justice in this country became so detached from common sense.
A Judge cuts a sentence to spare a sex offender from deportation.

Canada’s nuclear industry already employs over 76,000 people across professional roles and skilled trades.
As new reactors become available, the potential for job growth is expansive, but it depends on which technology we choose. CANDU® could support up to 60,000 additional jobs nationwide with a single reactor. Investing in CANDU® means expanding opportunities for engineers, skilled trades, researchers, and countless other Canadians across the country.
