1/2. The old belief that our individual human consciousness is brain-based - a mere biological by-product that dies with our body - is outdated; disproven by evidence.
Veridical NDEs are one of the best proofs of this reality. There are two outstanding books that include veridical NDEs:

(i) 'Surviving Death' by @lesliekean, which is simply THE best single-volume book on all aspects of its subject-area, which every open-minded person should read; and

(ii) 'After' by Dr Bruce Greyson, who has studied NDEs for 50 years after completing his medical training which was based in the old 'consciousness is brain-based' orthodoxy.
It contains a wealth of fascinating accounts which demonstrated to him as a scientist, that his old beliefs could not explain what the real-world evidence showed him. Probably THE best book on NDEs.

Another major proof of the myth of 'brain-based human consciousness' came from the U.S. Government's National Security Agency in 2024.
In a surprising and welcome public 'announcement', it finally admitted its own decisive evidence - which demonstrated that human consciousness has the ability to transcend space and time, that is, way beyond our five senses and our locality.

I've noticed that skeptics like to group together far more than paranormal types.

I think skeptics have a lot of stress over the topics, which shows up as anger and they need groups to reinforce their beliefs. Paranormal types don't seem to need that reinforcement.
