So I saw a very unwarranted player ejection in the Horizon League Championship. 3rd or fourth inning 1-0 ballgame. A strike is called the hitter says no way talking to himself. The umpire gets on the plate and stares at him, but the player never uttered another word. The hitter strikes out swinging on the next pitch. As he heads to the dugout he shakes his head never says a word or looks at the umpire. The umpire tosses him. This results in the head Coach coming out to argue. This ends in the Coach getting ejected and after a lengthy disagreement the Coach ends up with a two game suspension. It’s the Championship game if something that petty bothers you as an umpire you’re in the wrong job.
$32 million dollars and an entire administration mobilized to destroy one congressman.
His crime?
Demanding answers about Epstein class abuse networks, and refusing to let child predators hide behind political cover.
If that level of firepower doesn't tell you who's being protected, nothing will.
Go Massie!
Kirby saying the big 10 is a more competitive conference and suggesting the BIG10 has better coaching than the SEC made me smile today. Down their racking their brains on how this shift could happen.
Signal lost soon today Forsure
The Ohio State football program has recession proof for the last century in large part because of the expectations and standards set by the fans.
Across the street with basketball they want the money and buy-in, but with a fraction of expectations.
Activist: "We need to reduce meat consumption by 90%."
Farmer: "Then what do we eat?"
Activist: "More plants."
Farmer: "Grown where?"
Activist: "On the land you're using for cattle."
Farmer: "This is a 40-degree slope covered in rocks."
Activist: "Use technology."
Farmer: "To make tractors climb mountains?"
Activist: "Terracing."
Farmer: "At what cost? Economic and environmental?"
Activist: "It's worth it to save the planet."
Farmer: "From the grass growing here naturally that cattle eat?"
Activist: "From the emissions."
Farmer: "That were always part of this ecosystem."
In 2010, Ohio State got a season vacated and a postseason ban for a 12-0 season because some players got free tattoos.
Just 15 years later, Utah (a Mountain West member at the time) sold a stake in their athletic department for $500M.
In the week leading up to The Game, Michigan running back and Ohio native Jordan Marshall said that he chose the Wolverines over Ohio State because of the culture:
“He sees the best head coach in the Big Ten, in college football, and how he carries himself and how he puts himself over the team,” Marshall said of Sherrone Moore. “It's all about culture, and that's what I wanted to be around. I didn't want to be around people that were about themselves, and I truly just believe that.”
Those comments sure did age well. https://t.co/GOfT48lc1K
It’s wild that Texas A&M joined the SEC in 2012 and has played Georgia once. (2019)
During the 4 team playoff Alabama and Georgia never played in the regular season.
Oregon has been in the Big10 two years and has played Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, & USC all in the regular season.
The SEC constantly avoids its big brands playing but preaches tough schedules.
In the last three years...
There's been 16 conference championship game losers that were ranked in the CFP Top 25 entering the game.
15 of the 16 losers dropped in the next poll.
The lone exception...the 2025 Alabama Crimson Tide.
