@ZaneCypher_@FRIERENanime_ "Low sexual drive and jaded emotions" is not what she says in the subs.
And I'm not going to get into the nuances of marriage as an asexual/aromantic, and I'm sure the mangaka didn't think that deep either, but she perfectly defined the terms, therefore they can be attributed.
@Super_Shanko@GodsOddDuck@FRIERENanime_ I think that's entirely irrelevant. They are experiencing the same lack of feeling in the same way. They inherently do not want to engage with people romantically or sexually. Just because they would come up with different words for it than we did doesn't change that.
@ZaneCypher_@FRIERENanime_ Chapter 13 disproves chapter 118 then. Or both of them are disproved because the mangaka contradicted themselves. You can pick.
@RavenLover94@FRIERENanime_ She quite literally says they lack romantic and sexual feelings and desires. They biologically and inherently do not want to have relationships and sex with other people. That is the literal definition of aromantic and asexual. The lore of why elves are like that is irrelevant.
@GodsOddDuck@FRIERENanime_ Frieren literally says herself in episode 7 that all elves lack sexual and romantic feelings due to their lifespans negating the need for reproduction.
Who didn't watch the show now.
@XedVi81221@morebreasts Gigguk has always taken the stance that will result in the least amount of controversy because he caters so much to normies that he can't ever say what he actually thinks. TheAnimeMan is the polar opposite.
@GameRealist_@ChibiReviews Probably the entire reason she did it was because she was Atsushi Ohkubo's assistant. He was one of first mangaka to have many prominent good black characters and no one has ever complained about him.
@Luke__Bridges@alibarkeumpanda Objectively the time with the highest amount of animation cuts like this was the 80s OVA era because they were throwing money and resources at everything. Time period is entirely irrelevant in whatever animation looks fluid. The vast majority of anime now look nothing like this.
