Technological advance doesn't stop because of the fearful, or those too stubborn to adapt.
Neither does social equality.
You can stand in the way of these things, but you can't stop them forever.
🤘
Sadly, although fusing a Zonai Wing to a shield looks really cool, it does NOT let you glide around like Kit Cloudkicker.
(I guess they figured that'd be redundant, what with the paraglider and all. 🤷)
Fun things to do in #TearsOfTheKingdom :
Fuse a minecart to your shield so when you shield-surf, you get to skateboard around.
Or fuse a bomb to it and shield-surf for an easy (and surprisingly survivable) bomb-jump. Like seriously you get some good height doing that.
Like, I've wanted to do a "Detective/Monster Team-Up" scenario since way before Chainsaw Man.
Originally I was just going to have them be random fantasy monsters, that slip into our world from some parallel/shadow world or w/e.
I might still do that version too, honestly.
For a while now, I've been wanting to set up an AI RP scenario about a secret agency that battles monsters born from common human fears... Partially inspired by Chainsaw Man, for sure.
Still trying to figure out what the Irrational fears' motives will be...
And to think of ones that would make for good monsters.
Spiders? Absolutely.
Technology (maybe even AI, specifically)? As a sentient robot? Both meta and topical.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Any of my mutuals have the Quest version of 'In Death', wanna send me a referral code?
I mean I'm sure I could find a code on the review page or w/e, but if I can give that sweet store cred to someone I know, well hey.
Recently been watching a comedy anime called "The Vampire Dies in No Time"
Hilarious. And raunchy. There's two seasons out on Crunchyroll (s1 has an excellent Dub, while s2 is currently sub only)
Also I need a plush John the Armadillo asap.
Now instead of just telling all my VR-enabled friends they should get Walkabout Mini Golf, I can entice them with a coupon.
And spend the free store credits on the courses I don't have yet. 😤👍
Oh, hey, when did Meta start this game referral program? It's a nice deal, being able to grant people 25% off a game you own and scoring $5 store credit for yourself in the process.
But that's just so toxic in every way.
We should all get better at recognizing our talents, and be proud but also humble. We should strive to use our gifts cooperatively and selflessly, and not get frustrated with people who can't do what we can.
Realizing I've been a hypocrite b/c I criticize artists for taking their talents for granted and looking down on people who can't do what they do...
But on a frequent basis I get frustrated with people who don't have the mental skills that I take for granted.
😒 ...
It's such an easy delusion to fall under. We don't recognize our own talents as talents; we tend to think of them as basic things "that anyone can do".
We want to believe that we're talentless and if we excel at anything, it's only because we "tried harder than everyone else."
Hmmm, kinda tempted to pick up Resident Evil 4 VR, while it's on sale... ... Even though it'll probably be on sale again by the time I get through my backlog and get around to playing it, lol.
If I did get it, it would actually be my first Resident Evil game, can you believe it?
Finally got my room clean enough to play a little VR. Did the first half of the Myst course in Walkabout Mini golf (and found most of the balls at those holes) <3
I never got too far in the actual game Myst, but naturally the Walkabout rendition is just neat.
My claims to fame in gaming are that I named an outpost in the defunct MMO "Auto Assault"
And also I asked the guys at ACE Team to make the guns in Zeno Clash throwable, and they did.
