Young amateur heroine Rocky Raccoon finds herself caught between a rock and a plush, bouncy place, surrounded by gangsters and a zombie bounty hunter cowgirl! (1/2)
@JohnnyTheArtCa2@ShitpostRock Man I hadn't thought about that series in a long time. Saw it back then and enjoyed it. When I think of this I usually think of Granbelm at the same time and vise-versa for some reason
A lot of people in the scene were aware of it, I think mostly due to Rie Kugimiya. So you'd see pictures of Shana in the context of the VA or tsunderes. But for the most part I don't think a whole lot of people watched it, to the point I was very surprised it got the third season. I personally loved it and was one of the series I consider my gateway into anime and I fell hard for Shana. But I can see why a lot didn't. It's a very unique fantasy and there's a bit of a barrier to understanding the laws of the world and honestly, the anime didn't do the best job explaining it. Course that's part of the reason I was attracted to it, but the downside of being really unique, is some people will be turned away by it.
@BrandonRStreams I'm with you. I saw it when it came out and just thought it was ok. Didn't get the hype. However, I'd never describe it as 'childish.'
