@lawrenzo7 @WeAreThePaxton long and short of it is in reality the PL and CL are the be all and end all. Everything else suffered as they’ve grown. All of these comps are diminished. Teams don’t take them seriously as it cd affect the league so all are basically squad exercises until close to the end.

@lawrenzo7 @WeAreThePaxton The FA has been completely ripped apart by the PL. it’s stuffed in a tiny window before season even ends and now it’s easy to forget it’s even on. Palace winning makes it feel more special but recently it’s been diminished as an afterthought by the big teams who always win it

@lawrenzo7 @WeAreThePaxton The level of the Europa league is at least consistent. You have teams that finished 3-6 in the top 10 leagues in Europe depending on coefficient and the conf has taken the maj of the lesser leagues teams. Also you get €50m and a CL place. Teams in it take it seriously.

@lawrenzo7 @WeAreThePaxton You can also face Coventry City who would get battered by Bodo. FA cup is not taken seriously until the quarters at best. Before that the PL gets in the way and PL teams play weakened teams. Also they keep changing when it’s on to make sure it doesn’t clash with gladiators,etc.

That’s a minefield. You call yourself what you want. I don’t care. But most of my English brethren lump everyone from the Island of Ireland as Irish/N Irish never British.

But the original post called the 6 counties “British Northern Ireland” and anyone living there is British. That is geographically incorrect.

You are Irish as you live and were born on the island of Ireland. You may consider yourself part of the United Kingdom, but you are not a Brit
