Marsel Bibishkov 🇨🇦/🇧🇬, a 17-year-old Bulgarian-Canadian striker who just spent the last year with the Juventus Academy, looks set for a move to York United in the Canadian Premier League.
According to a report from Italian journalist @BaridonMarco, Bibishkov is expected to sign a permanent contract with The Nine Stripes following his year in Turin.
Bibishkov, who’s the son of former Bulgarian international Krum Bibishkov, spent five years with Toronto FC’s academy before making his professional debut at age 15 for Pirin Blagoevgrad in Bulgaria’s second division. 🇧🇬
Bibishkov joined Juventus’ academy in July 2023, scoring six goals in 17 appearances with the Bianconeri’s youth side. 🇮🇹
Would be an excellent move for York to acquire a developing Canadian-eligible talent for the remainder of the season, as they look to secure their first-ever trophy in the Canadian Premier League.
