I can’t think of any positive in having a limit to how many people can join a remote raid, not one. Especially when it comes to extremely bulky raid bosses like Lugia, Cresselia, Regis etc.
It doesn’t kill exploration, and it doesn’t negatively impact local communities, in fact I would argue it positively impacts local communities because smaller communities now have raid support because of the people they’re able to invite to their raids.
I understand that remote raiding was implemented during Covid to help people participate in raids and have a sense of play from home, but I think we can all agree that it should be here to stay, and that it helps every type of player and community. When I say here to stay, I also mean not nerfing it, upping the price and making it harder for people either.
I also understand that Niantic’s vision ultimately is to get people out and about again in big groups, which has always been their mission. But sadly the reality is, not everyone has a community, lots of people aren’t able to simply go walk around aimlessly for the sake of raids and a few Pokémon, not to mention people with social anxiety, disabilities, living in an unsafe area, children and all sorts of personal issues that prevent them from going out, gathering with groups or just not wanting to, which is more than fair and should be respected. Every community and personal circumstance is extremely different, but regardless of the difference in circumstances, I think we can all agree remote raiding helps EVERYONE, and gives everyone more accessibility, a sense of belonging and unites us all together as a globally & online community which is so important.
I say this in the most constructive way possible, but I really hope Niantic takes all types of people and communities into consideration, and is more sensitive to the fact that not everyone can do elite raids, raids after community day for extra spawns or simply don’t have a community to play with. It’s so easy for someone in a popular city for Pokémon Go to say they don’t see an issue with a remote raid limit, or don’t see an issue with Elite Raids, but that’s not being sensitive to people and communities that don’t have that. You may live somewhere where raids numbers aren’t an issue, where there’s a huge community to play with, but not everyone has that, it’s that simple.
Yes, Pokemon Go started as an in person game, but over the years it’s become a global game with an incredibly amazing online community, and I don’t want to see that die. I love seeing all the Discord groups, raid hour chats, people thanking each other for remote raid invites and having all our friends in the same lobby as one another. Let’s not kill that, let’s not destroy our online community because of wanting to force in person play, because as we know not everyone can do that/has a community for it.
I love Pokémon Go so much, and I love our community so much. I want to continue to see it thrive and bring people together in person, AND globally. Niantic, you have created an incredible game that’s truly life changing, but PLEASE, encourage in person play without destroying the incredible global community we have.
Yours sincerely, Fleece 🐑 ❤️

@NianticHelp I walked past spinda stops and my game wouldn't log in. therefore unfinished quests. seriously who's gonna give this time back to my 10yr old who was looking forward to a once in a lifetime experience. instead he got nothing but primal that ran on him and hardly any shinies
@NianticHelp
you should be refunding people's tickets. this is insanity. I really hope you worked with local cell companies to increase bandwidth on towers. I doubt you did but you should be refunding the game
