@fynnvestor We were spending about the same in Tesco, and when I did some research they posted the most profits of any UK supermarket at over £2 billion c so prices are high partially due to greed. We swapped to ALDI, get at least one more bag of shopping and £130 a week.

@TheSnoozeDoctor I’m really confused. When you say ODP, I presume you mean ‘Operating Department Practitioner’? Can you provide some examples of ‘Consultant ODP’ because as far as I am aware, being qualified as an ODP, they don’t exist?

@sola_chad We live in a society that is very self-centred and me-focused. The gospel is the entire opposite of that. Surrendering our lives and wants for a Saviour, and being a blessing to others is a foreign concept to most.

@Victoria_Rixon I had a more invasive pelvic/hip surgery and would have gladly received a booklet like this. As it was I bought a book called ‘sex? With these hips?’ To try to reduce risk of upsetting surgical leg. Absolutely nothing wrong with the leaflet

My son was a benchwarmer for various sports at his school for several years.

He was super diligent and worked hard, but we didn’t have the body mass or the hand-eye coordination to be successful in sports like football or Lacross.

Three years ago, the cross-country coach talked him into joining the team. He was not sold on the concept of getting up early and running but thought he would give it a try.

What he found was that his natural diligence played really well into distance running. He had a good season and then went on to be successful in track as a Sophomore and did even better as a Junior.

He could’ve just enjoyed now being an asset to his school and someone who did pretty well. But instead, he spent the past couple summers running and training hard. In fact, he now runs 60 miles a week on top of speed training, lifting, etc.

On Saturday, this kid just WON STATE in the 5k with a time of 15:41, and I couldn't be more proud.

The applications for you in business are obvious, go find your spot and be the best you can be at it! Don’t pursue random objectives outside your wheelhouse, no matter how “cool” it is to other people.

@RupertLowe10 As harsh as it is, the men’s comfort is not the priority, particularly when maternity services are in the state they are. There are bigger problems to solve. Let’s address morbidity and mortality for women and baby, particularly BAME population, and midwife retention.

@MThomasWrites @MichelleDewbs In an ideal world, yes. However, no one can see into the future. Companies collapse, awful illness occurs, accidents happen and all of a sudden you’ve got four kids and only one parent able to work and a minimum wage job, working all the overtime God sends.

@Sir_Adam_Pierce @deaflibertarian Had an old coach of mine who got cancer for the second time. Her husband, our other coach, had an affair and left her on her death bed, which she did not survive. I was appalled. The depths people will sink to when their ‘person’ is dying is unfathomable

@ThrillaRilla369 Yep. Every other week for six years I worked an 80 hour slot across five days, sometimes more if you counted I’d be up at night on call too. I’ve done it a few times since then and it’s challenging each time. It’s just survival mode.

@fayequigz @ThePosieParker As an NHS staff member who has just miscarried herself, please put a complaint in. None of your care should have been as it was, particularly with the nurse who was forced to come talk to you. That’s wildly inappropriate of her.

@mayorofutopia_ @latsot As someone who has been choked outside of sex and knows how powerless it made me feel, I cannot fathom how anyone would allow it. Similar to you, until I got significant therapy, my trauma spilled into the bedroom in ways I didn’t even realise.
