Allow extra time if visiting our Heinz campus during our paving and milling project. All roadways are impacted, with flaggers directing traffic. Expect rolling closures and short delays through Aug. 21. Shuttle service to University Drive is on its regular operating schedule.

Speaking of house explosions...found this hissing hole in a natural gas line at a relative's house a few weeks ago. The occupants' sense of smell was bad... had no idea gas was filling their home. Shut off the gas immediately and replaced the line. Probably saved a few lives.

.@Ford wrote to tell me my 2020 hybrid Ford Escape's engine can fail and catch fire at any moment while driving unless I get a recall repair done, but the Ford dealer I called says no one has parts to fix it.
