The Grateful Dead lightning bolt symbol, one of the most iconic images in rawk, first turned up on a road case at the Woodstock Music & Art Fair, Aug 1969. All thanks to the great Owsley 'Bear' Stanley.

@cushac Life this take and totally agree. Both grew out of art or literary scenes founded by charismatic visionaries. The Acid Tests and Ken Kesey in Palo Alto. The Exploding Plastic Inevitable and Andy Warhol in New York.

Big love to @rosalimusic & the Omaha boys for all the well deserved love + attention they're getting for her new "Bite Down" record. Get it! Also I wanna say I love love love the vocals Rosali put on this tune from my All Time Present LP back in '19: https://t.co/BFHr4Ycwuk

@bourgwick I recently stumbled across the Jah Division EP in my local shop and was pleasantly surprised to see that wrote the liner notes. I’m gonna be in NY soon - any recs for where to find good dub reggae records? All 5 boroughs are in play for me - I’m willing to travel!

@Marcissist @alechanleybemis Bandcamp set the model for electronic distribution. I’m optimistic other providers will see an opportunity to follow the BC playbook & start new platforms. If I had any guts, I’d give it a shot myself. I think a few others are already active out there. Hope they can scale up.

Dicks Picks 14. My office has an annoying feature where the lights go out every hour on the hour after 7pm. So here I am working late & blasting the Boston 73 Stella Blue in the dark on an empty office floor, 28 stories above Charlotte. And Morning Dew comes on to close the day.
