While we were all distracted by Farrer, Labor did a Friday night drop of the review into the allowances rorting by Anika Wells. Over $10k in expenses were wrongly charged to taxpayers. It includes a claim for travel and overnight accommodation for Wells to attend a friend's birthday party. She claimed she had government meetings to attend at the time.
She did have government meetings but they took place - at the birthday party.
Albo is defending her because she paid the money back.

The NZ Herald has published the story of a young Covid jab casualty today: Ashley Beulink who is diagnosed with vaccine-induced pericarditis, and one of the 1740 successful ACC claims for vaccine-related injuries.

Her mother told Derek Cheng: “It does make me angry. It took a real toll, on Ashley’s health and my mental health as a parent, and it could’ve been avoided.”

“I personally don’t think they were justified in including that 12 to 17 age group in the vaccine passes. The Government wasn’t transparent with that information. I believe they were just more concerned about getting their vaccination rates up.”

Cheng also interviewed Professor Peter McIntyre of the Ministry of Health’s Covid-19 Vaccine Technical Advisory Group, who acknowledges:

"It wasn’t just 12- to 17-year-olds who might have been in some kind of paid employment [and affected by workforce mandates]. We were hearing reports of children being denied participation in sport – that kind of thing."

“In that environment, my memory of the views on the CV Tag is: ‘Although the vaccine is safe and effective, a mandatory two dose-approach is not appropriate for 12- to 17-year-olds, because if otherwise healthy they are at low risk of severe illness from Covid, and there is some suggestive evidence that the low risk of myocarditis and pericarditis may be higher in younger age groups, especially boys, and following the second dose’.”

“I personally think it’s unequivocal that the vaccine requirements were a bad idea. And it’s absolutely 100% gold-plated that they were a bad idea for 12- to 17-year-olds. To justify that, you need really good evidence. Was that evidence there? That it was going to increase coverage to the level that was going to provide significant additional community protection? No."

“The predictable harm to social interaction and educational opportunity from exclusion of this age group far outweighed any uncertain benefits to individuals in this age group or the community."

Lakemba is a small, dense suburb in Sydney's south-west of roughly 17,000–18,000 people. That's every man, woman, and child.

There are approximately 5,800 households in Lakemba, so it is high-density living.

At the Lakemba Mosque (Masjid Ali Bin Abi Talib), which Albanese visited:

- The indoor capacity is ~2,000–3,000 people
- Add the courtyard + immediate grounds, and maybe 4,000–5,000 max people can be packed in tightly.

But today, according to Anthony Albanese, there were over 30,000 people in Lakemba.
That is nearly a 77% increase on the entire town's population.

Okay, Anthony Albanese, okay.

Anthony Albanese then told reporters he had "seen some of those reports" when referring to the heckling and they simply were not true.

Apparently, 30,000 people were packed into a town of 17,000 residents, 5,800 households, and a mosque that could hold 4,000-5,000 people at peak capacity.

On December 12, 1988, they released the movie 'Rain Man' starring Dustin Hoffman to increase awareness of autism.
On October 1, 1988, the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program officially became effective and operational. This established the "no-fault" federal system to compensate individuals injured by covered vaccine death or injury.
So what happened?
In 1988, 6-7 injections went into kids.
Today, that number is over 65 in Australia.
In 1988, autism was 3-4 in 10,000 (0.03-0.04%)
Today it is 1 in 90 (1.1%), with rates as high as 4.3% for children aged 5-14.
Who did the vaccine schedule target?
Children.
In 1988, national studies estimated that about 1 in 5 children (approx. 19%) lived with a chronic health condition. Multiple chronic conditions were rare, affecting fewer than 5% of children.
Today, approx. 43% of Australian children (aged 0–14) are estimated to have at least one long-term health condition.
Roughly 20% of children now live with two or more long-term conditions.
Better community awareness and screening are the defense.
Yet all are downstream outcomes of a broader issue that has experts baffled.
