When I see people getting hurt,
teach me to speak up.
When I see people treated poorly because of their skin colour, or language, or religious belief,
teach me to be an example of love & acceptance.
When I see war & conflict,
teach me how to make a difference.
This is my prayer.
It’s never enough to be ‘non-racist’. We have to be ‘anti-racist’, finding the courage to callout race hate, wherever & whenever we encounter it, including in our own lives, attitudes & assumptions. Like Marcus Rashford said, “Never apologise for you are, or where you come from.”
@lgbtcatholicyag It was so lovely for a few of us to join you all for this. Thanks again for having us. Who knew that Zoom Pictionary could be such a winner! Brilliant. R x
Today in #Norwich: the protest in support of Black Lives Matter will be live-streamed so that everyone can protest while following social distancing guidelines. The main advice is to *stay home* - more details here https://t.co/D6DFzYgL5k
Really appreciating ’The Confessional’ podcast from Nadia Bolz-Weber. Definitely worth listening to on so many levels. https://t.co/w3N3oNjlTC @Sarcasticluther
Just to say – we read the House of Bishops’ statement & we wanted to say:
At @greenbelt we remain resolutely inclusive. As our manifesto says:
“we’re still somewhere that welcomes anyone & everyone”
"We’re Greenbelt.
We’re somewhere to believe in.”
