@SportyFM_@Ankamagyimi___ Oh wow, I never knew that's where the Knicks name came fromโฆ. Learned something new and that makes the franchise's connection to New York City even more special
It has been a great week all around, and a particularly rewarding one for me as a Ghanaian professional.
Having worked for many years in the international space, across the public and private sectors, and now serving in the political sphere, I have had the privilege of serving under different leaders and in various capacities. To serve President John Dramani Mahama at this time has been a remarkable experience.
Throughout its nearly 70-year history, Ghana has remained at the forefront of global affairs. Since the days of our founding President, Kwame Nkrumah, our nation has championed international cooperation and upheld its commitments under numerous international conventions and agreements.
Ghanaโs policy of neutrality has, over the years, served as a model for diplomacy, international cooperation and strategic partnership. In international relations, as in life, it is always best to live in harmony with oneโs neighbours, and Ghana has consistently done just that.
Today, under the leadership of President Mahama, Ghana has been deliberate and strategic in its foreign policy engagements. President Mahama has strengthened Ghanaโs standing on the global stage, and our longstanding policy of neutrality has become increasingly relevant in a world where the old order no longer appears to work.
During this historic visit to the United Kingdom, President Mahama reaffirmed Ghanaโs commitment to its enduring relationship with the UK and deepened the longstanding trade and diplomatic ties between our two countries.
All in all, the visit struck the right notes. It reinforces President Mahamaโs message that Ghana is open for business. The message remains clear: Ghana is on a purposeful path towards #ResettingGhana, and the world appears ready to engage with us.
