Studio’s being owned by PlayStation/Xbox is one of the worst things ever. They ride the gravy train for years and years only to give us some of the worst or repetitive content we’ve ever gotten.
The Greatness Awaits generation was by far the best we ever had it, including PlayStation Home.
We are being fed slop and Interstellar will be no exception.
Real games are made by indie studios big or small, not being tied down by corporate overlord’s is what drives innovation and creativity, it’s what gives us, the players what we want to play.
We should change the classification from indie studios to Freedom Studios.
If you’re a Freedom Studio it means you aren’t tied down by corporate interests and their shareholders. You don’t have social mandates to meet and you’re free to make a rock solid video game in the way that you or the players in your community want.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game so good, so ready, in its closed beta tests that the people would rather the game just launch then and there because of how fun it is.
I’d say skip a potential open beta and open the floodgates, especially after dethroning COD.
Though i’m sure you have finishing touches/polish you want to put on it before launching. We’re just greedy. lol
@theStarWarsHQ Made by the people who made Hunters, no wonder it won’t see the light of day. Some of the worst and most generic ideas for star wars content came from those people. Good riddance.

Ready for a new adventure? 💛 An original Kingdom Hearts anime series inspired by the beloved video game franchise is coming soon to @DisneyChannel and @DisneyPlus
It’s crazy that the only reason why anyone knows she worked at Bungie/Destiny is because she has to forcefully talk about it.
She also was a contributor to the mass effect armor sets, which means she actively participated in diluting Destiny’s identity and that’s not something any Destiny fan should ever forgive.
Also @kambyyy, think about it like this.
On average, if you total up the amount of accounts talking about Marathon positively across X, YouTube, BluSky, and Facebook, there are more “likes” and overall engagement about Marathon in a positive way then there are players playing the game.
Not only that, but half of all players haven’t even extracted 7 times. So most players are just sitting in the lobby not doing anything.
You can cast blame and ignore facts all you want. Truth is people actually played the game and didn’t refund it.
But your casual 9 to 5 dad that just got home from the shoe factory realized by mid season they’d never get anywhere by the time wipe happened.
So much of this game as an extraction shooter never made sense, and the aesthetics, while unique, are simply too overstimulating for average people.
You can’t blame people for using steam charts as a way to scare off potential new players because social media is negligible when it comes to recruitment.
For example, Dustborn received millions of engagement, everyone on X and YouTube were talking about it, and only topped out at 83 players.
Scarlet Deer Inn received massive positive feedback years ago during development, and as of release, they had 16 MILLION in viewership on X but only topped out at 112 players.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is a DC GAME, and by its own existence, commands attention on social media, yet it only topped out at 13,000 players.
The fact is, no matter how hard you try and cast blame onto others, be it steam charts or in general constantly ragging on Marathon, the game was seen, and played, by everyone that was interested in someway, and everyone made their own decisions.
So if the game isn’t doing well, it’s the developers’ fault for making something that became ultimately an unappealing experience, not because of social media.
