Poonam Dhillon, Amrita Singh @SirPareshRawal & Pankaj Udhas in a special appearance.

The film is directed by @MaheshNBhatt & was written by @luvsalimkhan who based some incidents in the film on the relationship his sons shared in real life. In fact, @BeingSalmanKhan has said before that this is his favourite film!

The relationship between the Mother & her sons in the film are beautifully written and performed. Nutan is brilliant, Kumar Gaurav underplays his role nicely, Amrita plays the strong headed wife very well, but it is Sanjay Dutt who proved in this film, how good an actor he really is.

Along with the film, the songs are still popular today especially the song below. Only families who have loved ones living abroad & Indians who miss home 🇮🇳 could relate to this song. I know my dad did & I do too.

In 1983, @shekharkapur 's debut film MASOOM released. It is one of the most beautiful Indian films ever made and it when on to be a success at the Indian box office.

This is also an adaptation of the book by Erich Segal 'Man, Woman & Child'. The screenplay & lyrics is by Gulzar, music by RD Burman & the film stars Naseerudin Shah, @AzmiShabana Jughal Hansraj, @UrmilaMatondkar Aradhana Srivastava, Supriya Pathak Saeed Jeffrey etc.

One fun fact is that the film is produced by Chanda Dutt & Devi Dutt who is also the brother of the legend Guru Dutt. When this film was released, it started off slowly and through great WOM, went onto be a Hit & deservedly so.

The story of a man finding out he unknowingly has another child from a previous relationship & how it impacts his family life, is sensitively told & beautifully acted especially by Jughal Hansraj who won the audiences hearts.

I have tried to find a favourite scene I could post here, but was unable to despite so many tries, so I am posting this beautiful & emotional song instead. Wait, I think there is something in my eye....🥲

And yes, this has one of the greatest endings in Indian cinema. My family loved this & when this movie finished, my Dad asked me who the director was & when I told him, he asked me to write him a letter on his behalf to Thank him for making such a beautiful film.

I couldn't find his address, but @shekharkapur did reply on X when I told him a few months ago. So he got your message Dad.

Great films. Fatal Attraction did 2 things: 1. scare guys especially married men from having affairs for a while & 2. got me a lot of bad looks in the audience when I said to my friend 'well at least they don't have to worry about dinner'!

#LustStories3 is such an annoying and disgusting movie. the 2nd and 3rd stories were mid but the rest of them were just frustratingly bad. i can't believe that such talented directors made such bad stories with such bad writing. netflix should seriously stop at this point. 1/5⭐
