Congratulations to HMS Calliope on receiving the Freedom of the Borough of Gateshead. I was asked to add its name and dedication to the Book of Honorary Freemen held at the Civic Centre.

A little inscription celebrating a massive achievement! The client climbed all 3776m of Mount Fuji in July and bought this gorgeous work of art as a memento. It has been proudly framed and I was asked to add the details of his climb to the mount.
A logo hiding in plain sight: Studio Blackburn folded Culture House's "C" and "H" into a little house that runs through the whole identity π

A week ago, the @sunderlanduni awarded me an Honorary Doctorate of Sport and Iβm still trying to find the words to express my gratitude.
I came to the North East to keep chasing a dream and everyday, I get to live it here in Sunderland in a place I am proud to call my home. The City of Sunderland gave me a life I could have only imagined; Special moments, family, & memories that will stay with me forever.
To be awarded something so special when i have already received from so much, means more than I can properly explain. Iβll never forget where I started, and Iβll never take for granted where the journey has brought me β€οΈπ€
Thank you, Sunderland. For everything.
My Friday group at @OceanRoadCA are back for a new term and weβre making a start on Carolingian script. Lovely sunlight streaming through the windows onto our practice pages today!
My lovely student Rebecca (pictured) created this gorgeous sign and beautiful handwritten placecards in copperplate script for her sisterβs wedding earlier this month. Proud teacher moment!
I'm back at my desk after the Easter break and gearing up for a slightly slower spring/summer term than normal as my eldest is sitting his GCSEs and I'm on revision watch! #bringonsummer
If you're on my mailing list, this
month's newsletter has landed in your inbox. There's a
lot to catch up on, seeing as I neglected to send an
update out in March. π€
