Game-changing update to our NFT project: The Creative Friendz collection has now adopted the CC BY-SA (Attribution-ShareAlike) license! This important decision is driven by our commitment to fostering your creativity, collaboration, and innovation within the community.

What does this mean for the Creative Friendz NFT collection holders?

By adopting the CC BY-SA license, we are allowing our community members to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the NFTs they hold, even for commercial purposes. The only requirement is to provide proper attribution to the original creator with "©Creative Friendz" and license any new creations under the same CC BY-SA terms.

Why adopt the CC BY-SA license for Creative Friendz?

We believe that embracing the CC BY-SA license will have a significant positive impact on our community by:

👉Encouraging creativity and innovation: By providing unrestricted access to your NFTs (with attribution), we enable holders artists, developers, and enthusiasts to build upon, modify, or even combine our creations the hold with other works, unlocking new creative potentials.

What opportunities does the CC BY-SA license unlock for Creative Friendz NFT holders?

With the CC BY-SA license in place, our community members can now for example (NFA):

🌈Design custom merchandise featuring Creative Friendz artwork
🌈Develop video games or avatar that incorporate Creative Friendz characters or assets
🌈Produce TV shows, web series, or short films that revolve around the Creative Friendz universe
🌈 Use your CF as PFP commercially or logo
🌈 Use it as you want

Remember to credit the original creator with "©Creative Friendz" and license any derivative works under the same CC BY-SA terms. And this license will expire if the CF is used in any illegal way, something defamatory, racist or that target a minority or hate speech.

We are thrilled to see the innovative and creative ways our community members will use the Creative Friendz NFT the hold, while respecting these guidelines. 🚀

The IP and Creative Friendz brand, and related trademarks will remain with yours truly. Meaning no one for example can create a TV show or a clothing brand called “Creative Friendz” but you can use the art and call it “Friendz Ville” etc … This license is not a CC zero, meaning it’s not public domain, like Nouns. You own the license to the NFT you hold not the individual traits or NFT you don’t hold.

Backstory:
For a long, I wanted to do something that mixed nostalgia, art, ai, and Web3. I've been sick for the past weeks, and that gave me time to research new tools.

I wanted to understand how much all have changed since I did my first collection with Hashlips, then Bueno, till now. And a lot has changed.

To start, we have Ai, a talentless artist like me who always wanted to create "art pieces," and now I can. So I wanted to create some token of the times we live in where Web3 <> Ai

Web3, since then come a long way to deploy collections. I looked at @thirdweb (a project I follow for a few years), @buenonft, @DiamondHandNFT, OneMint, etc. Each one has its own features. I'm more than happy to share my experience with each.

I decided to go with OpenSea for one reason, and that's because they limit https://t.co/1EOvQYZPAV farming, or at least it can be done by enforcing rules in the contract. Blur farming has been detrimental to space. I know, as we talked about before, "flippers are good for projects" Look at us now. They were not, and neither is Blur farming.

Anyway. They are all free to mint and created under a CC0 (no rights reserved) license, so you can do what you want. I've set a small creator fee of 2.5% only to cover the cost of minting and stuff.
