#BruceGoff’s masterwork was the #BavingerHouse, 1950. The 96 ft long logarithmic sandstone spiral coiled around a steel pole from which he suspended the roof, the stairs & living areas. The ground floor featured an indoor water garden. Sadly demolished in 2016. #architecture
The Tulsa Club's designed by Bruce Goff in 1927 was filled with exuberant interiors, zigzag, waterfall plaster & tilework. The lavish, Grand Ballroom occupied the top floor. By 1994 it sat abandonned & vandalised & until its sensitive renovation from 2015-19. #designthinking
The Boston Avenue United Methodist Church,Tulsa, Oklahoma,1929 is an Art Deco gem. Credited to Adah Robinson & Bruce Goff, it consists of a semicircular auditorium, & soaring tower. The tower's crockets & finials represent two hands raised in prayer.#architecture#designthinking
