Traded in the old Pro, admitted it being defective, for 270. Paid 680 for a new one. Ouch. If I have any more issues I may briefly consider growing up.
I had four days of no random shutdowns of my PlayStation Pro after I bought the expensive power strip. But it didn’t power on earlier, had to unplug it and it did, and then had a random shutdown later. Now I’m back to square one. I’m not going the repair shop route again.
The question is do I tell GameStop it’s defective when I trade it in. Or do I not and could get away with it because it will power on for hours. It’d be a huge difference of like $300 trade in versus much less. It’s a lot out of pocket for $900 retail.
I did have fun popping off a few fireworks with the dog. It was a little dangerous with him trying to bite them. But that’s also what made it exciting.
I can understand people’s worry about games going all digital. How long will the licenses last?
I realized all these remasters and such are similar in that they can make the original release obsolete and you have to buy the newest version for new hardware.
I went all in with PS5 Pro because Microsoft said they don’t plan to make consoles anymore. But the future is looking like this kind of stuff is the direction they’ll both take.
It invokes feelings of lack of control. The worry of your life being all digital and there being control and observation over it.
I finally watched Good Luck Have Fun Don’t Die. It was fun, like I expected. I questioned the time loop and at one point compared it to the matrix. It could have been a lot longer and I wouldn’t have minded watching it more.
The end didn’t leave me satisfied. But it was cool.
I’m glad Supergirl is struggling to break even. I lost all interest at the first trailer where the dog peed on a picture of Superman.
We’re seeing so many female inserts across media that stink of identity politics. Worse is when they disrespect the originals and the audience.
I saw a post this week where Tim Dillon said he is gay. It was surprising because he acts normally - no accent, hand gestures or anything. I really respect that because you see the person first before the identity.
I knew Danhausen would be a star and here we are watching him succeed with a big break. But he’s an asshole so I don’t feel anything for him. Have two pairs of joggers from his indie/AEW days that I’ll sell for $100 a pair.
I don’t get it with trans people. If a straight guy like Chud is curious and wants to hook up they turn around and use that fact against them. Which is an admission that it’s wrong or bad to do. And they always have transphobia to fall back on. Not worth it.
Waterproof boot woes: It’s safe to assume that “waterproofing” in boots is temporary, wears off. For someone like me who walks outside all day, I’m putting a year’s worth of tear in months. I’ve lost the idea that they can just whisk away water. So…boot covers/proofing spray.
My job has a Reddit page and the logo is altered to have the gay rainbow in it. I’m sick of their sexuality being paraded everywhere. You’ve achieved acceptance which means you should be miserable like everyone else. At this point it’s just self serving and leads to divisiveness.
I learned a new word from reading Empath Chan’s article. In the past I became aware of her but chose not to follow. This let me see her intelligence; a different side of her.
A major life event has occurred that I need to wear glasses all the time now. My vision has been blurry in the morning and I get headaches. Today my vision feels off without them and it doesn’t feel good. It’s weird knowing that a switch has taken place. And the lifestyle change.
Waterproof boot woes: Yesterday it rained literally all day while I worked. My Timberland boots, which I’ve never had an issue with them being waterproof, got soaked inside and thus my socks and feet. Today it was just normally wet outside but they got wet inside again! OMG!
