I normally adjust my progression whenever I change managers because their boosts affect the stats.The Squad Link boost also helps. Having 6+ Spanish players in the squad gives him extra boosts to things like Speed, Physical Contact,

You can also adjust him depending on the manager you’re using. If the manager gives extra Speed/Acceleration, you can take a point from Finishing and add it to Speed.
