@JoeHellas@archeohistories It is easy to confuse genetics and culture. Genetically the San and Hadza peoples in Africa are the most genetically diverse human populations suggesting great antiquity and long periods of isolation. Culturally little evidence remains to support cultural continuity.
@archeohistories And what of the San and Hadza groups of Homo sapiens in Africa. They have the highest genetic diversity of any Homo sapiens lineage which would suggest they have an equal if not stronger claim on the title of oldest human cultures.
21 GRAMS. I always wanted to test this myth with people in the hospice down the road. Now we have another dimension to the story. "Imaging Ultraweak Photon Emission from Living and Dead Mice and from Plants under Stress | https://t.co/pbk2ysfl4O
We should have employed this young woman on @MythBusters. A great simple experiment that has ramifications for grey water reuse. https://t.co/0xI0q88ZrA
WE GOT IT RIGHT - In a subsequent documentary made after @MythBusters we used science to determine the rate of non paternity in Australia. With the help of an evolutionary biologist our estimate came out between 1 and 3%. https://t.co/WF6Rrz6i2H
THE FUTURE - that wasn’t. Apart from the technical issues what are the air space limitations over my home? Can I shoot a drone down that violates that air space? Another tech dream… down the toilet. https://t.co/G4Xj9XHe2R
WE DID IT @elonmusk Global temperatures now at catastrophic levels. We said we wouldn’t do it. We said we’d find ways to keep CO2 levels down… now here we are. https://t.co/MIOZWRxigv
I was always thinking about this for @MythBusters. My solution was to turn a car upside down in a specialised formula 1 wind tunnel. Jacks would push the car to a treadmill until the downforce was sufficient and the jacks withdrawn. https://t.co/CzOn0og6cz
ADMIT IT - what other television writer/directors didn’t make this kind of rubbish. It’s what cable execs were buying back in the late 90s and early 2000s but how much did we help erode science by running this garbage next to real data driven stories. https://t.co/C0jrFOIT8g
BUSTING THE MYTHBUSTERS - a Vietnam vet describes two people being blown away by bullets including himself. 15 feet apparently. @MythBusters concluded this wasn’t possible.

ANOTHER GREAT STORY - if there was ever a @MythBusters reboot. A strong north-easterly wind pattern has brought a “bloom” of the troublesome creatures to Sydney’s beaches.

QUARTER POUNDER OF DEATH - this story is likely to spawn its own round of urban legends worthy of some future @MythBusters episode. https://t.co/oSChtrpvlM
One of the fascinating things I’m finding is how many @MythBusters stories now have been overturned or have new dimensions. I’m think of Poo Toothbrush in this case. https://t.co/M7PvDTwNZo
OOGY BOOGY - that’s the name I gave stories that had no physical evidence that lent themselves to experimentation. These stories were, and still are audience favorites but @MythBusters was created as a science show. https://t.co/KjmKJu7VZv
X CENSORED MY POST - that supported Brazils efforts to assert that not everyone on this planet wants to live by US/ Elon’s laws. So much for freedom of speech @elonmusk
@elonmusk the rest of the world do not want to live by US law. Here in Australia we have no first amendment rights to free speech. Section 230 is not an Aussie law. Guns are not widely available. Abortion is a right.

WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED BY THIS - never trust anyone in the entertainment business. Not even your closest friends and creative collaborators. As a content creator myself @MythBusters I’ve learned the hard way.
