Many species have the ability to signal problems in ecosystems, like the health of drinking water or the onset of drought.
The #Greenbelt protects some of Ontario’s oldest trees — eastern white cedars that cling to the rocks of the Escarpment.
Once covering 90% of southern Ontario's landscape, forests remain the most significant ecosystem in the Greenbelt. Let's continue to protect what remains.
