Congressional Candidate Steve Toth’s campaign is being bankrolled by a Colony Ridge banker, and the numbers prove the connection.
The CEO of Woodforest National Bank loaned Colony Ridge $20 million in 2023. Now he’s poured nearly $500,000 into Toth’s Super PAC, funding nearly all the attacks against Congressman Dan Crenshaw.
Why? Because Dan Crenshaw demanded an investigation into Colony Ridge, sent a public letter to Attorney General Paxton, and even showed up at their headquarters unannounced to demand answers. He’s been leading the fight in Congress against the cartels and illegal trafficking and that makes powerful insiders nervous.
Early voting is happening NOW. Election Day is March 3.
Don’t let Colony Ridge money decide this primary. Stand with proven conservative leadership. Vote Dan Crenshaw.

Congressional candidate Steve Toth is almost entirely funded by a Colony Ridge banker.
That banker’s institution loaned $20 million to Colony Ridge in 2023 — and nearly $500,000 has now gone to elect Toth in our Republican primary.
Congressman Dan Crenshaw called for an investigation into Colony Ridge and showed up in person at their HQ demanding answers.
Now the attacks against Crenshaw are being financed by a banker who stands to make millions from Colony Ridge.
Early voting is happening now. Election Day is March 3.
Don’t let your vote be influenced by Colony Ridge money. Vote Dan Crenshaw.

@SteveTothTX@tedcruz@SenTedCruz Comes same day it’s revealed Toth’s biggest source of donations comes from the Colony Ridge banker:
https://t.co/5vOJFVLIT2
Crenshaw hasn't made a trade since March of 2023. His entire portfolio has never been more than $30,000 and all his trades are publicly disclosed. Meanwhile @SteveTothTX is almost entirely funded by a Colony Ridge banker and he's under an ethics investigation for hiding hundreds of thousands in assets.
@alexbruesewitz@DanCrenshawTX Wait til Freedom Caucus finds out they endorsed the guy who is almost entirely funded by Colony Ridge's banker: https://t.co/5vOJFVLIT2
FOLLOW THE MONEY: Steve Toth’s Super PAC is almost entirely funded by a Colony Ridge banker. An investigation by conservative newsite Current Revolt found that Robert Marling, the CEO of Woodforest National Bank, loaned Colony Ridge $20,000,000 in 2023. Marling has donated nearly half a million dollars to Toth’s PAC in this primary election – almost entirely funding all those slanderous mailers you’ve been getting about me.
Why would a Colony Ridge banker oppose me and support Steve Toth? Because I wrote a public letter to AG Paxton asking to investigate Colony Ridge. I even made an unannounced visit to Colony Ridge HQ to demand answers. I lead the fight in Congress to destroy the Mexican cartels – the source of all illegal trafficking into this country.
This is HUGE, and can’t be ignored.
Early voting is NOW through Friday. Election Day is Tuesday, March 3. Don’t let a Colony Ridge banker trick you into losing our most effective fighter for border security in Congress.

Last legislative session, State Rep. Steve Toth sided with Democrats to kill legislation that would have capped property tax increases. Toth's NO vote cost Texas homeowners over $1 BILLION.
The plan was backed by Governor Abbott, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, Senator Paul Bettencourt, and a supermajority of Republicans. Liberals opposed it because it would have stopped reckless local spending.
SB 10 required cities and counties to get voter approval before raising property taxes more than 2.5%. It was a clear Republican priority. Yet Toth voted NO.
When your property tax bill goes up, remember: Steve Toth voted for higher taxes.
Let me address the elephant in the room that won’t go away. I fully recognize there’s a LOT of rumors and falsehoods said about me. I’ve tried to ignore most of them, thinking maybe the truth always eventually prevails. But I was wrong. My opponent Steve Toth has made his entire campaign about spreading these falsehoods about me, no matter how many times they’ve been debunked. In this video I address one of the most prevalent ones: the claim that I’ve gotten rich in Congress with insider trading. It’s false in every sense, and by the way, it’s a serious crime. I’ve spent my whole life serving this country and working hard for my district and I’ve never used my position to gain wealth. The facts are pretty clear:
1. I’m an original co-sponsor of legislation to ban individual stock trades in Congress. I believe Congress needs to earn more trust from the public. This legislation has a good chance of passing this year.
2. I haven’t even traded a single stock since March of 2023. Nearly 3 years ago. I can’t be an inside trader if I’m not even trading 😂😂.
2. After carefully examining every financial document, I’ve profited $46,000 over my entire time in Congress, 7 years. Not exactly the “millions” you read about online!
3. I’ve never gotten rich. My home appraisal is public because I want to be transparent with you. It appraises at $407,000.
4. My current brokerage account is around $30,000 and has been about that level for my entire time in Congress. Simply put, I’ve never invested a whole lot in stocks.
5. Meanwhile, my opponent Steve Toth was recently under an Ethics Investigation for hiding various financial assets in his required financial disclosures.
I’m giving you full transparency, while he has been hiding assets. Why? We don’t know. But it doesn’t look good.
So where did these allegations about me come from? Because we are required by law to report all trades, the public can make a guess about a congressman’s profits. But percentage gains don’t tell the whole story. The way we are forced to report is by reporting trades within a range. The first range is between $1000-$15,000. So when journalists report gains, they always assume the highest end of the range. In my case, every trade is at the bottom of the range. But we have no way of making that clear unless I tell you directly, like I’m telling you now.
That’s the truth. I would never break the law. And I have NEVER made any trades that can be connected with any legislation.
That’s transparency. And it’s the exact opposite of what my opponent did with his financial disclosures.
This is the one “debate” we’ve had in this election and Steve Toth didn’t bother to show up. Probably because he didn’t want to have to defend his voting record. This vote against law enforcement is just one of many bad votes.
Look, a lot of lies have been spread about me. I know that and I’ve tried to address all of them. I also know I’m not perfect, and I’m sometimes a lot more aggressive than people like. I get that. But this election is about results. It’s about the work I’ve done to prevent future flooding, fight the cartels, remove regulations on our energy sector, reign in fraudulent spending on Medicaid, pass bills to stop radical transgender therapies on kids…the list goes on. We need your vote. Early voting is happening now. Please get out to the ballot box!
@SteveTothTX@DanCrenshawTX He’s saying he’s harder to beat because he is intellectually capable of winning policy debates against them. You are not intellectually capable.
ETHICS INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY: The Texas Ethics Commission is reviewing whether @SteveTothTX failed to disclose hundreds of thousands in assets on required ethics forms. An ethics complaint has already been filed and an investigation has begun. Why is Steve Toth lying to voters?
ATTENTION: Democrats are aligning with my “Republican” primary opponent. So far they’ve spent nearly $800,000 on ads slandering me. More are coming. In fact the new numbers since I recorded that video are even larger. Why? Because Democrats hate that I always win the argument against them. They want to face a Republican (State Rep Steve Toth) who is easy to beat. They want a guy like Toth who votes WITH Democrats on key issues like (1) funding for Texas DPS and National Guard, (2) Abbott’s property tax reform, and (3) flood mitigation measures.
Don’t let Democrats choose our representatives in this election. Please get out and vote!

.@SteveTothTX bailed at the last minute on a major candidate debate forum in The Woodlands this morning.
He missed a great opportunity to explain to constituents why he voted against bullet proofing cop cars, property tax relief, and border security funding.
He's a no show in TX-2, and he had nothing to show from last session in Austin.
