An appeal has been launched for help. CREST is looking for somewhere within Waltham Forest or its fringes that might have appropriate daytime space to accommodate between 15 and twenty people.
We have maintained telephone contact with our users throughout the pandemic and they had been so looking forward to meeting up again with their friends, sharing news, taking part in activities and having a good old singalong. We were even beginning to get referrals of new people
Before the pandemic, CREST Waltham Forest had been providing up to eighty places of day care a week for people experiencing disability and dementia. Now, 15 months after its closure and just four weeks before its planned reopening, the charity has been made homeless.
